Up at 5:30 with E, made him coffee and toast.. Then I showered and got dressed as I'm waiting on Maintenance to come fix the ceiling in our kitchen. Last week it started dripping water - luckily we're on great terms with the maintenance team, and they were here in 10 minutes. He ran up to the unit above us, and found a faulty part in their kitchen sink. It's ugly, but it stopped dripping!

Other than that, I'm just going to work on some laundry.

Good morning. The Carolina League playoffs start today. The Pelicans play at home tonight, then they play 1, or 2, away games depending how the first 2 games go. I was thinking of going to tonight's game but I decided to wait and see if they win the first round and make it to the championship series next week. The last playoff game I went to, 2 years ago, they lost 19-4. I don't want to jinx them in the first round.

Beautiful weather today. Just got a hair cut (actually, all of them) at the salon inside Walmart and then grabbed a few things in the store.

Nothing planned today except a tele-visit with the family dr to get a referral to a gastroenterologist. We'll probably start cleaning the vinyl windows in the Carolina Room. Last year we had our mobile fire pit inside and learned it makes too much (unseen) smoke so we will only use it outside from now on. We make a Lowes run to get some lawn fertilizer.

No baseball games here, just hockey. Well, we did go to a Rockies game this year... not sure if that counts as baseball this year.

I only went to 3 games. I don't have my partial season ticket plan anymore so no more going to 10 or 12 games every year.

My knee is a little sore so instead of going to the park for a walk I went to one of our local breweries. I tried a beer just because of the name, it's a wheat beer called Razzberry Beret. It isn't purple.

But is it any good, Larry?

So, the guys working on my ceiling leak repair got here at 9:30, JUST as I was about to toast a bagel. They just left at 1:30 to go have some lunch, and will come back to finish last minute touch up. And I FINALLY got my bagel. They did a good job. I'll need to vacuum and mop, but they were careful with what they did. There was even plastic on the floors and around the area they'd be painting.

I liked it. It isn't the best beer I ever had but if they still have it the next time I go to that brewery I'd have it again.

If it makes you feel any better, Tuesday was the answer to one of the Buffett Trivia questions I've seen: "What other day is mentioned in the song 'Come Monday'?" I was shocked at how many people got it wrong!

@Penny - looks like the workmen were quite neat and careful, timing sucked for your bagel though!

@Larry - Good plan... I feel I'm a jinx when watching sporting events at times too.

@Linda - I did not think those were supposed to be used inside (even in a screened-in area) due to the CO risk!
