what would be your ultimate buffett dvd?

Post by rickcrystal »

i went to best buy the other day and still, everytime i go over to the dvd section just to see if buffett has a dvd out. i know id find out from here before it comes out but i always do that. well that got me thinking what would, if i could creat buffettsdvd what would it be.

id probably call it "Pirates treasure"
it would include:

various live performances from his entire career
some videos
buffett in depth interview
parrothead section - interviews, tailgating, etc.

special feature section on:
jimmys toys - boats , planes, etc.
activism - save the manatie (spelling?)
how to make a perfect margarita

WHAT WOULD BE EVERYONES PERFECT BUFFETT DVD? :pirate:

Man I think you hit it right on the nose for the perfect DVD. It would have to have La Vie Dansante's video on there because I love that video too

1. Intro...Parking lot tailgating (10 min)
2. Club Trini mini set (15 min or so)
3. Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band in concert (1 hour)

6. Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band in concert part 2 (1 hour)
7. Jimmy interview part 2 (10 min)
8. Encore (20 min)
9. More tailgating during the end credits (10 min)

Total: 3 hours 35 min of paradise!!! The perfect DVD!!!

In my fantasies it would include a full concert of Jimmy at Buckeye Lake with encores, tailgates, and interviews.

But in real life, I would really like a song or two from all of concerts that Jimmy plays every year and then and any other stuPH that Jimmy wants to put on the DVD. :D
and Jimmy theres still so much to be done...

You guys are good!!

RC and DM - you should submit those ideas to Mailboat.com/Margaritaville.com or something. I don't think they could come up with as good a DVD.

And Matt, I like the idea of a bit from each concert, so we can see Jimmy, the Reefers and the concerts change over the years.

And the "La Vie Dansant" - one of my favorite songs - video can be on, as long as it comes with a warning, so I can shut my eyes. I don't like that video! That dancer is very strange!(I guess one man's meat is another man's poison!")

Pearl Jam did this for their tour in 2000. Had a song from each venue, it was sorta cool. Like how when they showed Alpine Valley--it was freezing cold out, you could see the guitarists all bundled up in black leather jackets, and smoke from their mouths due to the coldness.

Haven't heard any more on the proposed "instant cd" of a live show, sold at the venue after the last song.
That would be a BIG seller at JB concerts!!!
Probably being held back by the record companies, cousins to Ticketb**t**d!!

My ultimate Buffett DVD would be called "Buffett In My Living Room".
It would be a DVD of Jimmy playing a concert in my living room...
That would be very cool.

I would call it "Good For the Soul". It would be a collection of JB's favorite concert moments, with some comments before each song. I actually sent this to Margaritaville.com last year and pointed out to them that a Christmas release of something like this would make an instant Platium edition. Although truthfully, a July release would be the same. WE NEED ONE, and any of the other ideas mentioned would be fine with me. I'm ready to buy.

If We Weren't All Crazy

Post by DrunkAndScrewed »

I've thought about this before and I would name it "If We Weren't All Crazy."

It would include clips from shows over the years and lots of parking lot action. I always play the tailgating scenes from the margaritavision video before each show I go to. I think a section "a day in the life of JB" would be cool too. Maybe him cruising around some remote island, laying on the beach, sipping drinks and playing guitar in a hammock. I think that would be awesome!

Where is the actual movie filmed in Key West by MCA introducing Jimmy Buffet? Was this actually ever edited to a movie? I would love to see this, even on VHS!
