Great 8/9 matchup......Never really appreciated "Gumbo" until hearing it on last years tour live and it really CAPTIVATED me! However..........H.D. is soooo smooth........Havana D.D. pulls away late in this game!

Sorry- but I love Gumbo, the song and the food.... although I agree it's not the best "ballad" I still had to vote for it...

This was a tought vote. I really like both somgs but they are in two totally different classes that this is match-up is a complete mismatch. I voted for Havana because of it's strength as a ballad. Ther's nothing wrong with Gumbo as I quite fancy that song myself.

having met the sauce Boss and seen him play (and try his gumbo!!) it's hard to vote acgainst him, but HD is just such a classic song.

Hmm... it's a sign. Havana Daydreamin' came on RM right as I opened this thread. (And I'm not sure, but I think maybe Gumbo was on right before that)

I really like HD, but I can't get the image of my dad getting up to dance during a Vegas show when Gumbo came on and how much fun he was having. Gumbo it is.

FYI, the names of each bracket are arbitrary. There is no reason as to why this quarter of the bracket is the Ballads bracket. This could have easily been the Bars, Beaches or Boats bracket.
