"He went to Paris"
this resonated with me so much more this year, as I had my son who was born with cystic fibrosis. JB played this as the last encore at Great Woods on 6/22 (also my b-day), and aside from being sad the show was over, the lines
"some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way"
REALLY got to me. I cried like a baby, and i wasn't even super wasted. It just hit me HARD!

Now that they used Biloxi in the Hurricane relief concert, in my mind it will be tied to it. so it definitely would work as a sad memoryQuiet and Shy wrote:Well, reading this thread kinda makes one melancholy....![]()
Now, Biloxi fits that mold.
Coast is Clear, definately...or maybe more "reflective"....

I have a few that get me teary eyed....
Yes, most definitely the last song of every concert......
Miss You So Badly
Distantly in L*#(
Why do We Every Go Home
* Because my sweetie is not close geographically and being so far away from each is very difficult at times
Banana Republic
He Went to Paris
Those are the ones that touch me in that introspective kind of way.

This year at mohegan sun i went with a friend of mine. Its been a really tough year for her so when trip around the sun came up.....we both looked at each other and smiled when he says......"if theres one thing that i've learned from all this living is that it wouldn't change a thing if i let go"
and how can you not include he went to paris.

Oysters and Pearls
The cd came out the same year as my 20th high school class reunion. It reminded me (and still does) of the hopes and dreams we all had when we were 18 and then 20 years later seeing what happened to all of us after we left the big city of Livingston Montana.

Ditto... Tho with Little Miss Magic, it's a bit different. A good friend got married last year, and one of the bridesmaids made up one of those "through the years" slideshows for the reception, using that song for our friend (on my suggestion). The bride and here parents LOVED it, I still tear up every time I hear it.Wino you know wrote:GOOD TOPIC!
