look it totally sucks no doubt about it and its more of the issue of the late start to tailgating.my question is will it be easy to get in at 3:30 or is it going to be an hour wait with traffic to get in which then puts tailgating even later.then with setting up etc....

I say this with the most serious tone that I can because in my short time here I've grown to love you guysSchoolGirlHeart wrote:exactlyHooray Beer! wrote:The 3:30 "rule" is coming from the Mass State Police in response to the traffic disaster caused by the country concert in JulyUpstateNYPH wrote:thats my point too. ill be happy paying $40 if i can tailgate a lot earlier than 3:30pm. as everyone has said though, i am sure that the lots will be open much earlier due to the demand.st.somewhere wrote:Who gives a sh*t about the money to park? The s***-ass part of this is the lots not opening until 3:30 PM? Especially, when our normal venue is like 10 feet away and they let us in at 8:00 AM!!!

I highly doubt they will bend
And they are a rather humorless bunch. Testing them in any way could get ugly folks
Mouth of, get wise, complain to much to the Staties, and you WILL end up with bracelets on and a free ride in the back of a car
I've been there. TRUST ME. They beat the word JOKE out of them in the academy

I'm actually going to have to charge you $40, plus a connection fee to listen to the radio. Also, there'll be a service charge aded to each beer, not to mention a handling fee as well.blackjacks wife wrote:Parking in Camden is only $20, but that's all they can afford to pay us to come to Camden!![]()
I hate stadium shows.
I'll grab my Sirius and be in the backyard where parking and beer are free!

I think the 3:30pm thing was in play frop the minute they announced the show. It's actually the 4 hours before the show rule. Don't they have the same rule for Pat's games?
"Reading departure signs in some big airport
Reminds me of the places I've been.
Visions of good times that brought
so much pleasure
makes me want to go back again."

Sorry, I actually still had the e-mail sent to me on 2/16/07 as a pre-sale notification. If you look below, it says the gates open at 3:30.
===============================================
The ultimate tailgating concert is coming to Gillette Stadium.
Break out those flip-flops and get into a Margaritaville state of mind!
Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band bring their legendary performances to Gillette Stadium for a special two-night engagement on Sunday, September 2nd and Saturday, September 8th.
Don't miss your opportunity to purchase tickets before the concerts go on sale to the general public. Think beaches, palm trees, that Coral Reefer sound and, of course, the one-of-a-kind celebration of a Jimmy Buffett concert. Get your tickets through our Gillette Stadium pre-sale offer. There is a 10-ticket maximum and tickets are limited to a first come basis.
For both concerts, the parking lots open at 3:30 PM, stadium gates open at 6:00 PM, and the concert begins at 7:30 PM. Concert: Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band
===============================================
For all it matters though, it should be open no later than 10:00am

Wrigley? Yes, incredible. Partly the show itself, the emotion involved, right after Katrina. And City Of New Orleans from the bleachers, NEVER to be forgotten.... Partly Wrigley itself... Cubs.... History....Wino you know wrote:Normally, I do too, but after Wrigley Field, I've lightened up a little on that one. Heck, it IS Jimmy Buffett, after all.
Fenway? Yes, incredible. The show was great, but it was FENWAY.... Mecca for many.... As one of my friends put it, "I don't know what's got me more excited, the fact that I'm in the front row at a Buffett concert or the fact that I'm standing where Johnny Damon plays baseball." (This was pre-defection, remember...
But I also went to Citizen's Bank Park.... Aside from seeing friends, which was awesome as always, those two shows don't even come CLOSE to the top of my list..... In fact, they don't even MAKE the list of best shows. The sound was mediocre (I *so* feel for the sound guys, trying to make a stadium sound decent.... an impossible task...), the crowd was huge, and that sense of connection to the band/stage was totally absent.....
Except in a very few unusual circumstances, give me a good old amphitheater shed ANY day of the week over a stadium.....
Carry on as you know they would want you to do. ~~JB, dedication to Tim Russert

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
