I did pretty good today, as in years past, and didn't even have to camp out in front of the stores for a day and a half in 25 degree weather like a lot of the baffoons here did.
However, I'm thinking this will probably be my last year (for a while, anyway) that I do Black Friday. Not that the crowds bother me-they don't. It's just that I really can't think of anything else I need.
For a guy living by himself, I feel two T.V. sets are more than enough, ONE computer is enough, I have enough C.D. players, the washer is fine, the dryer is brand new, the bedroom sets in my room and the guest rooms are fine, my cell phone is perfect, my gas grill serves me better than "LITTLE GARRY" (if you get my drift), my Bunn coffee maker does everything BUT massage my buns, and both refrigerators are filled with food and beer for my fat belly.
What the hell else do I need? Today was great, but I think it's time to "retire." (Not to say the possibility of doing a "Brett Farve" in a few years doesn't exist).

Now, if HOOTERS decudes to do a "FIVE-FOR-ONE" deal on hot wings............................................... 8)

If you know what you are looking for, get in and get out. It is not that bad, I bought a $200 winter coat this morning for $50

We got 2 netbooks @ $119 each are are returning them, junk. They run on Windos CE which is basically a PDA. For $119 what was I thinking? We did get the girls each a portable DVD player for $29.99, not to bad.

I got some 4 g sandisks at Radio Shack for 9.99.

I got my half off Ott Light at JoAnns and I bought some half off buttons at JoAnns.

I got underwear and Cuddleduds at Elder Beerman.

Everything was for me

I was home by 7:30 a.m.

Than I had to work until 6 p.m. Since I got up at 4:30 a.m., I'm a pretty tired puppy tonight...

We did pretty well, too, although the dollar didn't seem to stretch as far as we'd like it. Picked up some F-Uggs and Dr. Martens for Victoria at 20% off and some clothes from all the fancy mall stores that teenagers like. Oh yeah, and a Sandisk Sansa 8g mp3 w/ video player for $50, normally $99 and it gets fabulous reviews. I've been eyeing that mp3 for a while (we are anti i-anything).

We scored big at the Lego store and got 10% off our purchase (Legos are hardly ever on sale). Plus, we scored two of the Lego winter village collectible sets. We're keeping one and selling the other.

Glad my other BF'ers did OK. We stayed warm almost the whole time because the Lego store opened at midnight and TRU did to, so by the time we got there, we just had to pick up our 5am doorbusters and watch the clock tick 'til 5 so we could check out at a discount.

OH yeah, and some teenagers were throwing raw eggs at the people camping in line at Best Buy.

I'm trying (but unable) to find the article, but apparently in Utah, some lady shopping at a Target Store thought it would be cute if she ran into people in the store with her baby stroller carrying her one-year old child. She was doing this to get people out of her way and to get to items she wanted to buy.
Apparently it was working, but when she ran into the same guy for the third time in twenty minutes, HE thought it would be cute if he picked up the baby and heaved her across the store.
He got as far as getting her out of the stroller when store security standing nearby intervened and prevented what could have been a real tradgedy.

And now the guy WON'T be having a Merry Christmas.

Let's see — some lady decides to act like an arschloch by intentionally ramming people with her child's stroller; but when someone gets upset and reacts (OK, overreacts), *HE'S* the one who catches hell?
I wonder if the lady ever considered what might happen to the little tyke in the stroller if one of the people she rammed lost their balance and fell onto the stroller.....
JMOAYWTI, but she should have had her shopping time cut short and spent some time in the penalty box as well.

Nahhh. Although if we had scored the 50% off coupon at the Lego store (it's a scratch-and-win-coupon), hubby and I agreed we would purchase it. Maybe next year.

This year, he's getting a keg full of Strongbow for our now-defunct kegerator since he doesn't eat gluten any more.
