From Peter's website message board:

"Dear Peter and Band, My choir and I had the most amazing evening performing with you in Columbus, Georgia the other night. The morning following the concert, the parents and students were still on a musical "high" from our experience. They could not believe what amazing talent they had witnessed the night before. Each of you are incredible musicians and stand alone in your excellence, but the "WOW" factor, when all of the God given talent is combined on one stage, in one voice, it is truely magical. I am forever changed by the experience. You all planted a music seed in my students that night. We are forever moved and changed. Thanks for signing 14 posters!!! I'm proudly hanging one of them in my classroom with the candid photos we took. Again, thank you. Merry Christmas and may God continue to bless you all and your ministry.

P.S. If you make it back to Columbus, we want first chance to sing with you again!!!!!

If you have not seen Peter Mayer's Stars and Promises you are in for a treat. I took my family to see the concert here in Stone Mountain, Georgia this week and was blown away. I am already a big fan of Peter's and he never fails to make me cry at his shows. I usually get all emotional when he does the song "India" dedicated to his daughter but this time he got me with "Junkman's Christmas". It's a song dedicated to his late Father about one Christmas when Peter's name was inadvertently left of the gift list. Peter was 4 years old at the time and cried at being forgotten. He tells the story of how his Father who fixed the family cars using items from the junk yard, was a Minister and a very compassionate man who hated seeing any one in pain. Seeing Peter cry, he went to his junk stash and made gifts for his son with his own hands and gave them to him. (I'm gonna cry again) Anyway, when Peter's exquisite band performs the song they use toy instruments, their first instruments, or even homemade ones. Everything sounds a bit out of tune and childlike but it is the most beautiful sound of love and to me represents Christmas in the best way possible.

This was my favorite part of the show as well, I loved the way you tell this story, Nadirah. I heard you were there in GA and got up and sang Silent Night too. :)

Christmas is not Christmas without seeing this show.

I put S & P and Echoes in the CD changer at the shop yesterday....I figured if they expect me to be happy while I help ornery Christmas shoppers, I should be able to listen to whatever I want!

Nice thing, I did have several people ask "Who is this?"

Spreadin' the love!
