Good morning Debbie and Penny. I have an appointment at 1 and a banquet at 6. Good thing it's too cold to fish, or I'd feel cheated out of a fishing day.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Wow Penny, be careful. Its supposed to be warm and breezy here in my corner of the world. Tackling the never ending chore of ridding the house of dog hair and paw prints...

Good morning. It's supposed to be near 80 degrees again today. Maybe I'll take a ride over to the new Total Wine store and check out their beer selection, today is the grand opening.

Afternoon BNers

What hsppened to our sunny days? It is another cloudy and looks like it could pour any minute.

This weekend is drag racing on the other side of Houston (Baytown) and it is looking like a soggy weekend. Ugh
Not sure it is even worth buying tickets or driving that far...guess we will decide each day.

No Christmas weather here. We are getting a little bit of spring but it's still in the mid 30's when we leave in the morning so jackets are a necessity.

Trying to figure out what to make for Easter dinner. Just had ham at Christmas so it might be a "picnic-type" of meal this holiday.

I went to Total Wine but I didn't buy anything, it was packed and the lines at the registers were too long. I wandered around the beer section, there's a huge area that I can just walk by whenever I go back because it's full of all the mass market beers that I don't drink. They have a mix & match section so I'll be able to try a bunch of new beers. There are 2 in particular I want to try because they're from countries whose beer I've never had - Nicaragua and Turkey. I'll wait until my home supply is depleted before I go back.

So, thanks to the CO sunshine, most of what fell last night/this morning, was gone when we left work at 4:00 pm. :D Some REALLY stupid drivers (probably those who have moved here from CA/TX and other non-snowy states) this morning.
Four wheel drive does not mean four wheel stop. It also gives you big time four wheel spin. We saw numerous cars like this during the morning drive. ALL of them 4WD. 🙄 And if you're from out of state? Stay off the road, instead of driving in the middle of two lanes, and so slow you're backing up the highway. Sheesh.

MsMod, those same people were up here in Seattle (maybe on vacation?) when we had our snow in February.
IF YOU'RE AFRAID TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW, DON'T DRIVE IN THE SNOW!
AND, IF YOU'RE AFRAID TO DRIVE MORE THAN 10mph, PICK ONE LANE OR THE OTHER SO THE REST OF US CAN GET PAST YOU!
Yes, I know all caps is shouting!

Ahoy! My volunteerism was honored at the chamber banquet tonight. I was awarded citizen of the year, got a plaque and a certificate from our senator. A veiled reference to my Buffett art had the pianist play Margaritaville. It was a good night.

Thanks! Most everyone that knows me have heard about it, but at least 50 people there didn't have a clue and I was too choked up to clarify that my art at JB brings in donations.
