Good morning BN. Anyone out there capable of doing your own taxes?

Morning all. I have an accountant do mine. Paying again this year. Check was mailed out. And Happy Birthday Larry.

Good morning. I've always done my own taxes and I've never been audited.

Good morning BN. Taxes paid weeks ago, haven't done my own taxes since 1980, I have a CPA friend that takes care of them for me.

I've always done my own and have been doing them for both my she-'keets since they entered the workforce. They both live in San Francisco, so I have to do both federal and state returns for them. To complicate things, Megan is an independent contractor, so I had to do a business return for her. To confuse things, Nicole is a CPA.... whyinthehell am I doing hers? (It's because she's a CPA... she's been putting in 12-16 hour days since the first of the year.) Thanks to the Orange Guy, I'm paying this year..... so much for the "middle class" tax cut.

We've done our own taxes for the 36 years of our marriage. Never had an issue. Always get a refund (by choice).

I got Audited once. When I used H & R Block. I had to pay someone else to get it fixed, I use a private lady. She is usually very good , on getting me money back. But with the health insurance laws , and now , what can be expensed I end up paying.

Never been to Paris but I hate Notre Dame is burning.

I was in Paris in 2007. I'm not a religious person, never have been, but when I first got to the cathedral I just stood outside and stared. This is a loss for the world, not just for Catholics, or France, or Paris.

Very sad, very devastating news from France. I was there in 2015 and got some amazing photos. I was there at the perfect moment- 12:00 noon on a Sunday. All the bells chimed in unison. I’ll never forget the joy I felt for those precious moments. My heart breaks for the great people of France, who were so good to me when I was there.
My emotions have been getting the best of me all afternoon.

Same here. We finished ours on the 6th, and had our refund today. Different circumstances in 2018, but had plenty of taxes taken out, and got more in our paychecks each month.

Bryan does ours...our girls do their own.

Ahoy! I had increased my art business enough I had to declare the income, built a studio, kept receipts on everything and used an accountant friend for taxes. Now. I do very little for profit, but I have a lot of cool tools.

On the Paris tragedy, I studied the cathedral in college and had a huge framed photo in my classroom. It is as if part of me has been carved out forever.

We’re getting back 1/2 of what we usually do. With my kids it seems the same too. If they had a refund coming it’s half of last year and the one that owes is paying double this year.

The fire is devastating. I can’t imagine how the French must feel.
