Good morning. It's supposed to be in the low 80s today but it's also supposed to rain. I have a couple of errands to run and I need a haircut, I should probably get going before the rain starts. A person of my delicate sensibilities shouldn't be out in that kind of weather.

Heavy rain with tornado watch's yesterday that led to a beautiful sunset. Today is supposed to be gorgeous, 80ish & sunny! Headed to Florabama for the start of mullet fest.

Hello, kids.
Nice sunny day in E. Iowa- that’ll change tomorrow. Forecast of rain for the next week.
Watched the NFL draft last night (I have no idea why). First time ever TWO University of Iowa tight ends were selected in the first round.
Noah Fant to the Denver Broncos, T.J. Hockenson to the Detroit Lions. I guess I’ll have two more teams to cheer for next year.
I’m really happy for both of them.

Hope your guy TJ proves MOST of Lion Nation wrong Garry. Excess amount of bitching around here taking him that high. I don't really get it. If he's 'THE GUY" you wanted & he was projected as a top 10 pick & you didn't want to miss out on him then take him at 8!!

I didn't watch the draft but I think I heard 3 of Clemson's defensive linemen got drafted in the first round. No wonder they whupped Alabama in the national championship game.

Clelin Ferrell-Raiders
Christian Wilkins- Dolphins
Dexter Lawrence- Giants
And nobody (other than the Clemson Tigers themselves) was happier than me when they took Alabama to school in the championship game.

I had to get a few things at the supermarket so I stopped at the Beer Den. They have a beer called Little Blue Penguin from Fat Orange Cat Brewing.

There's a food truck festival here this weekend. It started at 6:00 and I was thinking of going because the rain we were supposed to get never made its way into town. The festival is by the beach across the street from the boardwalk and we're having 35-40 mph wind gusts, I think I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon.

And we survived shopping. Went to Dollar Tree. It is smazing how much cheap stuff I think we need.
But I got a bag full....they had alot of cute flamingo stuff that I just had to have.
Stopped a local thrift shop and found a pair of capris. I just love when people donate items brand new with tags still on them.
And finally to Kroger. How can we be out of everything????
I would love someone to give me menus. After this many years, I feel like I have cooked everything soooo many times. I ocassionally find a new recipe that sounds good....not always a good idea.
