Good Morning BN!
Bet ya' didn't know this
(I do use Kevin's old socks as dust rags for our 3 ceiling fan blades)
NATIONAL LOST SOCK MEMORIAL DAY
May 9 recognizes a fun and unique holiday, National Lost Sock Memorial Day. It is time to say “good-bye” to all of the single socks, the ones where their mates have been lost to the unknown. Where do all the missing socks go? Is there a washing machine heaven? This is a question that people have been trying to solve for many centuries. An answer may never be found to this problem, and life will go on. How sad to have lost such a close-knit friend!
Of course, since before the dawn of Tupperware, inventors have attempted the prevention of such separation anxiety. Alas, if they had succeeded mismatched socks wouldn’t be popular today. And, we there wouldn’t be National Lost Sock Memorial Day.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Now is the time to let go and move on. Clean out all of your left behind socks. Make sock puppets or recycle those old socks by reusing them as dust rags! Say your final goodbyes to your lost socks using #LostSockMemorialDay.

Good morning Linda. I have on miss matched socks now. The tops are similar, so I'm good to go.

Good afternoon. I'm doing laundry so I hope I don't have any lost socks.

My socks must match.
My dad taught me a trick when I was young that I didn’t really appreciate until I was an adult. He kept a small container of big safety pins next to his bed. When he removed his socks he would pin them together before putting them in the laundry hamper.
Problem solved. No lost socks.

Left home this morning headed to the beach. It was raining and dreary.
2.5 hrs later it’s 75 and sunny. Woohoo!
1 hr to destination.

Too warm for socks here too. Although it’s quite windy and overcast, the temperature is all the way up to 46 or 47 degrees.
T-shirt & shorts weather.

Mine get put away after March 1st.
I really should NOT be from the Arctic dump known as Iowa.

Maybe it is time to pull up stakes and move to warmer climates? Texas would love to have you

Who thinks of these 'holidays'??
I currently have no missing socks.
More snow this morning, and it's still sorta spitting. 50's tomorrow, 70's this weekend.
Waiting to watch (muted) the Nuggets game. Hoping they move on in the playoffs. It's a good team, and they've had no stupid controversies this year.
My Avalanche are out.

I'm really bummed about that. Hopefully next season will be another good one for them. At least they bumped off the #1 seed in the playoffs.

Watching the Astros game from in Houston. We have a roof. It is closed but it is raining and blowing so hard that it is raining inside the field. People are wearing rain coats and using umbrellas.

Yikes

Not to discount the rain there, but the Rockies played with a little snow falling, and in the 30's. At least they beat the Giants.

Neither are ideal baseball situations
There are gators coming to places they aren't supposed to be. Going to be worse before it is all over.
