Apparently we had some nasty winds here in Myrtle Beach last night but it is sunny again this morning.

Yep we could definitely live here.

First day of hurricane season today. My generator has been inspected and I'm checking supplies, I hope it's a quiet year.

We're off to have breakfast, shop for Mom, visit Mom, my sisters (picking up more photo albums we share with Mom), family friend in rehab after shoulder surgery, another brewery where one of our favorite beertenders is moving away, groceries for us, then out to dinner.

WHEW!!

Looks like a beautiful day. But the neighborhood is having a garage sale so not sure we can get out of our driveway.

Need to start the vacation laundry...ugh.
I tried to pare down what I packed....shirts were perfect however, I took capris and one pair of jeans. Because of the weather, I wore jeans every day. So the capris came home clean.

Had our first visit to LuLu’s in Myrtle Beach today. Beautiful location right in the canal. Fried green tomatoes, shrimp po’boy and gumbo for me. Shrimp and grits for Kevin. Yummmmm.

Good afternoon. I had the jerk chicken sandwich at Lulu's. It was a beautiful day, the temperature is below 90, low humidity and a nice breeze.

Hi there! I gave up a day of fishing to volunteer at the local state park to demonstrate.....fishing.
The event was a bust. Very few people showed up. A musician there sang half of his songs very well. The other half sounded like a needle in the ear.

On a happy note, early in the morning after I was set up at a table, I walked to the creek to make a few casts in a pool I have fished since child hood. I hooked and lost a trout on the first cast and caught one two casts later.

Evening, lurkers. Finally brought the boat down today, it was chilly out on the water but at least it's here.

Heading out to meet my sister and her husband for drinks and dinner in town.

Amen to a quiet year my Florida phriend!! I am stocked as always with canned goods, water, booze, other supplies, etc., Never want to be the guy that has to stand in line for many hours to buy at the last minute.

I'm watching the Pelicans game on TV and they just did a promo for Monday's game, it's going to be Thirsty Monday instead of Thirsty Thursday. The announcer said "alcohol and baseball, there's nothing better." Probably not the best way to end the promo.
