Good morning. I'm going to the Pelicans game tonight. When I got up this morning I went online to see how they did last night. There's an article on the website that says after the 7th inning there was a problem with the lights at the ballpark so they game was suspended and they're going to play the last 2 innings tonight before the regularly scheduled game. The good news - I get 2 extra innings of baseball. The bad news - they're starting the 8th inning of last night's game at 5:00 so I get 2 extra hours in the heat. We have a heat advisory until 7:00.

Bill, I've had a few mango beers and I liked most of them. In fact, I just had one yesterday. It's from a brewer in Belgium called Mongozo and they very cleverly named the beer Mongozo Mango.

Larry, Anne wanted to smell the beer and I offered her a taste. She declined. I found out my wife hates mango. Who knew?

Afternoon BN.

Got back Sat afternoon from a great (although hot as hell) time at Cincy & then went to my cousin's 60th bday party. Had good food & really good blue crabs & saw some family I haven't seen in years. Yesterday was a recoup day (stayed in my pjs) but I also picked meat from about 3/4 of a bushel leftover crabs for crab cakes.

Today was supposed to be a day on the river with the ski but it's just to damn humid out there so I'll prob take it to the lake tomorrow!

Btw, it's national hammock day. I purchased a cheap hammock for my sailboat trip to bvi. We hung it between the 2 masts & I spent quite a bit of time swinging in it!

Sitting here at the flower shop, waiting on 5:00 to get here. A slow day order wise, but we cleaned out both coolers and put the flowers in clean buckets with fresh water. Pretty sure every bucket in the place was used today and I washed at least half of them.
Have a great afternoon!

Always wondered, what do y'all do with the flowers 'at the end of their life'? Not good enough to go into an arrangement but to good to throw away?

The Pelicans won the suspended game from last night but it only took about a half hour to play 1 1/2 innings. Now there's another hour to go before the next game starts. They're treating it like it's a doubleheader so it'll only be 7 innings instead of 9. That's good because it's hot.

Evening, peeps. First official day in the new position and it was jamming in all the best ways. 8)

Hot here, too. Not like most of y'all are experiencing but enough to be looking forward to a storms tonight. Preferably without thunder, poor dog has had a rough few weeks since July 4th. Lots of backyard yahoos.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

There's a guy at the ballpark wearing a t-shirt with a cartoon cow at the beach. The cow has a bathing suit, sunglasses and a hat. The shirt says ROAST BEEF.

Aww, poor pup! I've never had 1 that was scared of loud noises (fireworks, storms, etc) til the beagle. He is scared to death - I give him a Benadryl when I know before hand & it knocks him out. Poor thing shakes like a leaf with the loud bangs

We save them and donate to churches that have dinners for the local homeless population. Occasionally employees/delivery drivers will take them home to enjoy them. Today we had the arrangements from the wedding yesterday that we took the best flowers, put them in cheaper containers, and had the driver drop them off at several nursing home facilities.

That's awesome & I thank y'all for that! The people in nursing homes are appreciative of it. I know that
