Fajita SUNDAY @ the MSC
Good morning everyone!
Today is NATIONAL FAJITA DAY.....we haven't had them in a long time -- maybe for dinner one night this week. Kevin is brewing today, I'll be spending time in a friend's pool. What do you have going on?
NATIONAL FAJITA DAY
On August 18, National Fajita Day recognizes the sizzling deliciousness of the savory Tex-Mex flavor found in fajitas.
In the early 1930s, Mexican vaqueros in Southwest Texas developed what we’ve grown to love all over the United States. Using throwaway cuts of beef, they developed the fajita. It wasn’t long before they became a staple in the region. These cowboys cooked the steak over an open fire or grill. Once cooked, they served it with flour or corn tortillas. Fresh Pico de gallo, guacamole and southwestern spices elevated the fajita. Soon the convenient meal for hardworking cowboys made an introduction to new audiences. The fajita became a destination food in the culinary world.

Good morning Linda. I had the BEST shrimp fajitas near Cincy this summer. That is a meal I'll get again.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Fajitas!
We're going to a Woodstock themed BBQ this afternoon. Hoping the rain holds off.

Morning everyone!
Today is our last day of summer vacation--back to school tomorrow for everyone. No big plans today other than cleaning house and Sophie doing some bartering on Homecoming Dresses with friends. Wowza this whole dress buying stuff is crazy business.
Our county fair opens tomorrow and I have tickets to their fundraising Cash Bash this evening. Half thinking I may go but time will tell. Tomorrow Sophie is in their fair parade so life will be busy for us once school lets out--she has an hour to go from sophomore student to Miss Davison Princess. Hoping her Fairy God Mother shows up to help with logistics
Enjoy your Sunday, all. Fajitas sounds yummo and we have left over steak in the fridge----might have to happen for lunch.

Hi everyone. It's laundry day here on the mountain. Its supposed to be hot and humid today, so Bryan is out replacing a couple of minor parts on his vehicle before it gets unbearable. Fajitas sound great, I need to check my pantry and fridge to see if I have the fixins...the only thing I'm not sure about is green pepper...hmmmm
Have a great Sunday!

Good morning everyone!
No fajitas here - I'm actually not a fan. I don't love peppers and onions.
Just some simple burgers on the grill today.
Heading out in a few hours to see Mom. My sister and I would like to actually move her to a new facility. There are several reasons why, but there's a concern at where she's at. The new place has a larger room for her, and it's beautiful. Fingers crossed she'd like to take a 5 minute drive to go see it.

Good morning. There's no rain in the forecast so I have some baseball in my future. The Pelicans got rained out last night so they have a doubleheader today, first game is at 4:30.
