The first few years, I felt lost and no place to go when school started. Now, I wonder why I didn't quit earlier.

At 6:30 am, it is 80° and supposed to feel like 112° later in the day. Ugh
I remember atteding school with no a/c.

Schools around here started back 1-3 weeks ago.

I'm going back to 8 hour days at work, tho.

Yesterday was 97, and today we're about 15 degrees cooler. I'll take it.

Good morning. They went back to school last week here. I was never a teacher but I spent far too much time at school as a student, I don't miss it at all.

Busy day today -- Judge back from his week long vacation so everything I piled up for him is now piling up for me.

Mrs SPH and I were reminiscing about all the years of back-to-school shopping we went through.... All the new clothes ("you have a closet full of clothes, how many more outfits do you need?") and school supplies ("what's wrong with last year's backpack, why do you need a new one?") Our little girls are 26 and 31 so it's far behind us, but we have lots of memories of it!

I'm having lunch at Old Chicago. I usually have pizza when I come here, after all the full name of the place is Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom. I had their boneless wings today. They're better than Hooters. And they have 40 beers on tap.

My 10 college freshman are surviving their first day of class. The texts I have received today are funny. "I got to class 20 min early and all the seats are almost full - even in the front of the class". "some of the people in this class are hacked they have to take it"

We meet as a group tomorrow night so it will be fun to talk as a group about how it all went. The roommate stories are fun too.

Hi there! I had a great day on the river and caught fishys. I ran the boat into shallow riffles and listened to the horrendous sound of the boat grinding on the rocks as I floated into deeper water.

Already feels like September here, waking up to temps in the high 40s. But beautiful sunny, breezy and crisp weather.

Keet left today, had a great visit and I already miss him.

I ran errands today and am a sweaty mess
The car a/c can't keep up with the heat. Of course I was in and out of the car just enough for it to feel like an oven..
I hate being cold but I hate to sweat.
Maybe I need a climate controlled bubble???

Geee...we had a power bump that knocked out both a/s units. Finally had someone figure what was wrong...had to reset units.
Now the water is a trickle.
The day just gets better.
