Good morning gang. This is it! The shortest day of the year(except for Rabbitz). As we head around the sun, each day will get longer and my endorphins will rise.

Hello Bill and everyone else who gets a chance to stop on in.

The sun is shining at Ringville this morning.

Im heading out soon for regular Saturday stuff but with a hair appt thrown in as well. This evening we are heading to a beer & cookie exchange party. The hosts hold this as an annual event but it's the first time we can attend. The hosts are folks we MET ON THIS BOARD several years ago, they live 6 miles from us and love Jimmy and all things tropical -- AIN'T THIS PLACE GREAT :P

Good morning, Bill, sistah, and BN!

Today I will wander around the shops in our little downtown looking for stocking stuffers. And look forward to Keet arriving tomorrow.

Hope y'all have a lovely weekend. :wench:

Good morning BN. Cold and rain for a least the next 48 hours, I don't plan to leave the house.

Morning, BN. Going to see Del McCoury celebrate his 80th birthday with some of his famous-ish friends.

Have a good one.

Good afternoon. How can this be the shortest day of the year, aren't they all 24 hours? [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

It was hard tell whether it was a long day or not. It was dark for most of the daylight hours due to the smoke.

I was a long long long day for those in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. If I stand on my roof on a clear day I can see parts of the Blue Mountains. The battles up there were fast, moving and almost never ending. Just following it via the radio comms feeds was harrowing enough - kind of glad I am no longer doing that stuff!!

We had a small fire a few hundred yards away, maybe half a mile. Luckily the wind shifted and the threat was contained.

There is no significant rain forecast until late January or early February. Welcome to our "new normal".

What a mess! I bet the fire just raced through the eucalyptus trees that gave the mountains their name. Keep a hose handy and stay safe!

I'm watching the Carolina Hurricanes game. They have a player named Sebastian Aho. There's a fan in the stands dressed as Santa Claus but the back of his Santa suit has Aho's #20 on it and it says Aho-Ho-Ho. 🎅

Hi there! It was a special night at our light display. People drive through, park and walk to a pavilion to see Santa.I had around 80 people standing outside to see Santa when a van pulled up, asking if their 3 year old on a ventilator could park in a turn around to see Santa. I said yes and asked the crowd if anyone minded waiting for the family to jump line. As the father carried him to see Santa, I choked up and I'm tearing up now typing this. Good night BN.
