Merry Christmas from the other side of the dateline.
Today will be hard - first Christmas without Mum.
Anyhoo I scored BIG time - CD's (Cold Chisel and Mick Thomas, I guess none of you guys will have heard of them ).
The real score is a 1:144 Airfix scale model of a Saturn V rocket. I have coveted one of these since I was six. We could never afford it when I was a kid.
Ho Ho Flamin' Ho, eh?

I went across the Strip to Caesars Palace and had lunch at Gordon Ramsey's Pub & Grill. I had a bacon cheeseburger, it's probably the best burger I've ever had. Nothing fancy about it - meat, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato - but it was perfectly cooked, nice and juicy and not overly seasoned. I might have to make this place a regular stop now whenever I'm in Vegas.
I'm sitting at the bar and one of the bartenders is a big burly guy with a bushy beard. He looks like he could take me between his thumb and forefinger and throw me through the wall. He has 5 little Christmas balls hanging from his beard.

Sounds good..the hamburger, not the burly guy.
You staying at the Flamingo? Hope the a/c works better than ours.
I'm at the Flamingo but I don't really need a/c. The temperature is in the low 50s today, that's the warmest it's been since I got here Sunday afternoon.
Helped Mr. Lime with prep work for the Feast of the Seven Fishes. I'm allowed to cut and chop and clean. He does the actual cooking. And then tomorrow he's doing a prime rib roast. The Lime family will be all fat and happy in Vacationland.
Big John you are a treasure. And HOG, stay out of trouble...or get in some!
Sending phin power to Garry and Rabz. Your BN family is holding you close. /) /) /)
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
I'm at a place called Trustworthy Brewing in the Palazzo. I had a flight of 4 beers. Each one sucked more than the one before. At least they're small glasses and not pints.
Home from youngest daughters. On the way home realized I have nothing planned for dinner tomorrow (we are usually at my in laws) and both girls, sil to be and his son are coming sometime late morning/early afternoon. Hmmmm. I have a lot of leftover chili. I have chicken breasts in the freezer and I have shredded beef roast I cooked last week. I will think of something.

Chicken breasts and leftover chili and beef roast? I'm thinking tacos!

Good afternoon all. Beautiful weather today in central PA. 51 deg F and sunny. Spent some time with brother Frank and his
son Mark outside with cigars and beer. Taking some gifts to the local hospital for the new born babies that are stuck there for
Christmas. It's a tradition I started and this will by my 35th year.
Phin power sent to Garry and to Rabbitz and his neighbors in Australia affected by the fires.

We had trouble with the heat and a/c. They finally got it repaired about the 4th try.
Loved the room except for the temp.

What do you give the little babies?
It varies from year to year. This year it was sleeper outfits.

Thanks Big John.
In this state alone, there are some 2200 firefighters and support staff doing what they do, on Christmas Day. I used to be one of them so I have had a quiet beer to wish them Merry Christmas.
