You planning on going to either of the SC shows?
I haven't decided yet. The Charleston show is only a 2 hour drive and it's the day after my birthday, but I've seem him there already. Columbia is a little longer drive, still doable, but I've seen him there too. I was thinking of going to a virgin venue.
Come to Raleigh....

Well it must be getting serious, my company has told everyone in NSW (where I live) to stay home and prepare. The gubbermint has declared a state of emergency for the entire state.

I am not so worried as it seems to me there isn't much left to burn (I don't actually mean that) but I guess the pollies need to be seen taking decisive action.

Have a great day!!!
(((Rabz))) - do you have an evacuation plan?

It's a conditional plan.

We have a couple of ways to head out so it all depends on conditions and fire direction.

It also depends on the fire conditions - stay and fight is still (an ever-diminishing) option.

I just cannot fathom the enormity of your situation. It's terrifying just thinking about it. Can't imagine if it were right outside my door. Prayers for safety for you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞

Thanks M59,

We are in a pretty good place compared to many. We have some buffer between us and the proper bushland - in most cases I would say we are defendable, but given some of the fires in Victoria and the NSW south coast I am not stupid enough to stake my life on it :)

Suffice it to say the bug out bags will be ready and the ute & car will be packed.

'Tis better to run away and live to fight another day.

I've been to Raleigh twice but they have a Yard House now, 120 beers on tap.
