I'm going to breakfast.

dinner with good friends and reeling in the shock of a brother & sister-in-law (of our church Community Group friend) who died within 11 days of each other. So sad, but our friends' burden of helping their family who had been sick for so long are relieved of that burden.

We have a power outage currently, strong winds and more rain in the forecast! Sitting in jammies trying to drink all the coffee before it gets too cold....

Edited to add: the power is back on thankfully. It was only out a couple of hours.

Glad your power is back. Word is our area is under major threat for power outages. Some areas not too far down the road have lost power due to those strong winds overnight that you experienced. Couple inches of rain overnight last night....moving to sleet now....moving to freezing rain later tonight & tomorrow morning. Keeping fingers crossed all will be well!!

Hopefully you won't lose your power! It's unseasonably warm here today. Wet and muddy... although I'm thankful we have gotten rain instead of snow or ice...stay safe doc.

There's a college football game on TV. It's at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX, that's where Buffett plays when he does a show in Frisco. There's snow on the field.

We survived the storm during the night. The power kept bumping but it never went off. Lost cable in the middle of a movie but not a big deal. Sun is out today.

Hi there! I took a drive and walked onto a beach

at lake Erie

to pick up a rock.

The wind was howling out of the south, but the lake was calm near shore.

Chainsaw and wood chipper day today.

Clearing up a bunch of large tree limbs that came down in the wind two nights ago.

Very smokey here. Most of the fire grounds are much calmer - the fire teams are taking advantage of cooler and slightly damp conditions to try and get the big fires contained. Several thousand miles of fire edge to work on. Not a trivial job.

Unpacked the bug out gear from the ute and restored a small sense of order to the garage (where said gear is normally stored).
