Hi All,

I thought I'd open up early to beat the the heat.

We're having what the bureau are describing as an "extreme heatwave" across the South East of Oz. Well over 100°F for the next few days (and nights).

It's before 6.30 AM here and it's already over 86°F and 85% Relative Humidity.

It could be worse. This is the view last night from a mate's place near Canberra (the national capital):

Just a terrible/sad/fill-in-the blank scene there Rabbitz!
Was watching the Aussie Open last night & they talked much about the rising heat & conditions.
Praying some major relief can come your way!

Yikes. I like warm weather that borders on hot. But that with the humidity.....no thanks.

For us, relief is as far as Monday or Tuesday.

It's just hot here - fire danger today is only Very High (as opposed to Severe, Extreme or Catastrophic). It will climb over the next couple of days.

That images was from about 3.5 - 4 hours drive south. (About the same as Ft Lauderdale to Key West).

Wow. I can somewhat relate, as Colorado has had numerous and destructive wild fires every year, since I moved here in 1976. Hoping for containment soon, Rabz.

Wishing I could send our wet dreary cloudy weather to Oz to help with the fires and heat.

Good late afternoon/early evening, or prevning as Sheldon Cooper would say. The rain's been coming down for the last couple of hours and it's supposed to continue pretty much the rest of the day. Too bad I can't redirect to the far side of the world.

I saw a Bentley when I was out before. This isn't really Bentley territory.

We'll gladly take the rain off your hands...

Evening BN. LONG work day - preparing for another 'Survey'/Audit, but I'm a back up for the Unit Secretary/front desk and I've lost 13 hours of my own work time that I'm covering for her this week for various reasons.

Off to sleep, as I'm SO tired. E and I have DU hockey tomorrow. Dinner out. Hotel stay. Nice early treat for my birthday.
