It's FRIDAY @ the MSC

Hello everyone!

I'll be glad to see 5:00 today and am hopeful next week will be a little less "interesting" at work. At least it's payday (although the money goes in and out so fast it hardly seems like a cause to celebrate :o )

Good morning, Linda and BN!

I agree to the "money goes in and out so fast" statement. Been off all week for an innersession break and it has been wonderful. I really wish I could dig up a huge pile of money so I could retire and be busy doing "nothing." Oh well. They say it will be in the mid 40's to almost 50 this weekend so that makes me excited.

Next week they are predicting snow again. Looks like March may come in like a lion. Enjoy your Friday all!

Good morning Linda and Mel. I worked in a steel mill during college summers. The paycheck was based on pay scale and hours. Loved seeing those big checks from working overtime. Direct deposit is boring.

We pack for Cabin Fever, then ROAD TRIP!

I still get a hand written paycheck. But we are a small flower shop. We use handwritten time cards too.
Safe travels to you and Miss Anne! Have a wonderful time!

8° on my front porch this morning. Brrr. But my grandbabies are coming today so my heart and house will be warm and full!
Happy Friday!

Good chilly morning, it's 37 degrees and the wind chill is 25. That's cold for down here.

Morning, pholks!

Cold here, too - 8* when I walked the pup. But the sun is out and there is no breeze so it's actually kind of nice in a crispy way.

Scheduled for a laptop upgrade from my job so I get to be "offline" all afternoon.. Yee-ha! TGIF! 8)

Coastal Carolina University is hosting a baseball tournament this weekend. Some of the games are being played in the Pelicans ballpark, which is closer to where I live then CCU's on campus ballpark. Normally I would go to a game or two but I don't think I want to sit at the ballpark in 35-40 degree weather with 20 mph wind. :o

WOW ! that is cold for you !

Sort of like when it was 65 when we visited KW in December and all the locals had on scarves, hats, gloves and boots (we were in shorts and t-shirts).

Afternoon BNers

I went to buy groceries today. Got most of what was on the list until I pooped out. Didn't have as much energy as I thought I did....broke into a sweat and was dripping. Ugh. Guess I will have to go back in a few days. :(

I was looking at the Mets website and I saw they're going to be playing their final preseason game next month against the Baltimore Orioles at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. While I was reading the article I was thinking I had to start searching for a hotel near the Academy. Then near the end of the article it said no tickets will be available to the general public. The Academy is distributing all tickets to midshipmen and active duty sailors. Good for them, but it would have been nice to see the game. Oh well.

Did I tell you that we had lunch with the Annapolis football team? OK. We were sitting next to the team at a diner. We went to the Double T dinner in Annapolis and in came the team. Very nice young men. They all ordered a breakfast and a lunch. Huge table full of food! When they left, not a scrap was left!!!! None were loud...just kids having fun.

Goodness! We're all over the place with weather and stuff going on!! :o :-?

Sunday is my boss's birthday, so we celebrated today. He's not a very emotional guy and proclaims he doesn't like the attention or fuss. But we did anyway. I got a cake/card/candles. Co-worker decorated his office. And yeah, he did like everything. :)

Today at work was finally a controlled busy. Caught up a lot of things I couldn't get done this week.

Tomorrow is a Mom visit, some home chores, then DU college hockey game.. Dinner before, again.

Sunday is (hopefully the weather will cooperate) brunch with a friend, and dinner out (Greek) for Cameron's birthday (the 26th).

It's 8:22 pm, and I'm off to stretch out and bed soon.

Sleep sweet. :)
