I'm going to work today too...not sure how busy we will be, but I guess as long as there is funeral work I will be working...stay safe out there.
My middle daughter is a RN and is working at the COVID 19 call center...they asked her to volunteer for a drive thru testing center, but she politely declined, since she is still not completely released for all normal activities since she had her spinal fusion surgery.... with her luck she'd definitely get it.

Court in Lancaster County is plodding along.

All prisoner proceedings are being conducted via video which is much more difficult than in-person.

Getting TONS of calls from attorneys asking if certain scheduled events for the next 2 weeks are being rescheduled. Uh - not until a directive is issued by either our Governor or County Commissioners. But, we are getting requests for reschedulings because parents are at home with children since all schools in PA are closed for a minimum of 2 weeks.......sigh.....

Good morning. I got an email from TM last night with a link to find info about events that are either cancelled or postponed. I searched next month's 4 Buffett shows and none of them were on the list. Maybe only 100 tickets were sold for each show.

On behalf of the Judge I bought 2 tickets for Elton John in Hershey on April 20 as a Christmas gift from him to his wife. I've been paid.....now they just wait to see if the rescheduled date in 2011 will work for them :o

Afternoon, BN. On hour two of a who-knows-how long closure. Went to work to take care of a few things and bring some items home.

Let's just say it felt weird leaving work after an hour.

Have a good one.

I just got back from grocery shopping. The shelves in the meat department are about 2/3 empty. There's hardly any bread left, the milk is almost all gone, there's no rice, I'd say about 90% of the canned soup is gone and the paper aisle (toilet paper, facial tissues and paper towels) is completely empty. The produce department is pretty well stocked, except for apples. Did I miss the weather report when they said there was a hurricane headed to the Carolinas?

My sister in law across the street has been very sick for several days, she's a home health care nurse and has been exposed to many ill people as she travels home to home. She and her SO were both tested this morning but won't have results till the end of the week. My wife was over there last week so I guess we've both had some exposure. Hoping for a negative result asap.

Yikes! Hope for a negative result too. Working with the public is fraught with health issues.

Apparently, we have the same weather report. Tons of fruit available (thank goodness) but most everything else was gone. Managed to find the last few no salt tortilla chips that is hard to find.

That's why I stocked up before virus hit my state.

If they were smart about the technology it would be possible. What am I saying? Governmental, mission critical operations being given the technology to work efficiently? Sorry, not possible :)

Same here in Oz.

What has astonished me is the toilet paper hoarding. Covid-19 is a respiratory ailment, it doesn't affect the other end... We've have seen fights, knives have been pulled, police have deployed tasers. To be honest, I am glad we don't share the US gun culture as the morons here will have escalated to that by now.

While wandering the aisles on the weekend I did come across a treat - a bunch of Louisiana Fish Fry products (Gumbo, Jambalaya, Dirty Rice etc). These are hard to find here in Oz and Mrs Rabz & I have found we have a taste for them. Much to my chagrin, I am guilty of hoarding these products :)

At 2:00 our governor issued a state-wide shutdown.

No one in the County has yet been told that there are any "non-essential" employees. I'm not expecting to hear that phrase in Judicial.

If our son wasn't already on base in St Louis, Missouri, he would have received a call to have his "go bag" ready.

I just had a thought...

Is Australia to the US far enough for "social distancing"?
