Good Morning all.

Since I don't have any background or heredity info I celebrate any holiday I want. So today, I'm Irish :).

So...

I'm here at the office. I have the option of working here or at home. I'm here. Sister is at home. Her office is mandatory work at home. Same university, different departments.

Pray my office doesn't go mandatory work at home.... :P

I'm off work today, but I made an early trip to my local meat market...the lot was full when I got there. They had to limit how much ground beef per customer πŸ™„. I shop there at least once a month and I have never seen so many people there at one time! But I got some ground beef, some deli ham and turkey and some cheeses. Which is what I normally buy. We are having subs for dinner tonight!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€ Stories in my mom's family said we were of Irish descent, but when my daughter tried to trace the family tree, the name didn't appear in Ireland at all...it is more likely to be English or Scottish? Who knows?

Well at work we will do non emergency calls via phone reports. Limit people in our radio room. Being a frontline employee can be nerve racking.

Afternoon, BN. As long as I have my veggies, fruits, and fish I'm all good. But having more beans would be nice.

No parade today, obviously. Life goes on, albeit in a somewhat limited capacity. But I won't be surprised if that changes into something like San Francisco's policy.

Afternoon BNers

Sun is shining and it is thundering.
Crazy weather.

We are part of that family lore of being Irish. But according to Ancestry, we are more Scottish. Guess our people started in Scotland but migtated to Ireland before they got to America.

the Scots Irish were Scots that rebelled under Prince William and treated badly afterward. They were denounced as 'Bill's boys". They moved to Ireland, but that wasn't good. Onto the colonies where the entire coast was owned by Dutch, German and English,so the now destitute followers of William's revolt headed into the frontier, settling the Appalachia's. The new slur changed from Billy's boys to hillbillies.

A major battle during the revolutionary war was won by those denounced Scots, kickin' English butt. :D

Don't ask E about beans... it's the main business of his company. And the weather in ND and NE this past year has caused a bit of a shortage. :( We're talking about millions of pounds that his company deals with.

My dad bragged up his mother's side, which went back to the revolutionary war. I asked about his dad's side and he replied,"Bunch of crooks and thieves!"
So much for that side of the Scottish tree.

Evening all.

My sister and BIL were to leave tomorrow for a trip to Hawaii for 10 days, E and I were going to dog sit. They had to cancel. It's been planned for nearly a year, and lots of $$. :(

As of Noon today patients in the hospital where I work can have NO visitors till further notice. I felt bad for the family members. :(

Double shifts at the plants E is in charge of (bean storage/cleaning/packaging). :(

The shelves at Cameron's store yesterday. :( Canned veggies, soups, paper products, flour/sugar, eggs.

We don't have a lot of storage space in our apartment.
