Not in our town. Only if they assault someone. For the most part people have been wearing a mask in stores. Some folks have called us for large gatherings but mostly unfounded.

There's a town here called Garden City. Part of it is in Horry County, the county I live in, and part is in Georgetown County. Horry has reopened the beaches but Georgetown hasn't. I wonder if they put police barricades on the beach at the county line to keep Horry County people from crossing over into Georgetown?

When I still had a job they actually expected me to work instead of play on Buffett News. The nerve of some people.

Picnic
A picnic is a meal taken outdoors (al fresco) as part of an excursion – ideally in scenic surroundings, such as a park, lakeside, or other place affording an interesting view, or else in conjunction with a public event such as preceding an open-air theatre performance, and usually in summer.
Picnics are usually meant for the late mornings or midday breakfasts, but could also be held as a luncheonette or a dinner event. Descriptions of picnics show that the idea of a meal that was jointly contributed and was enjoyed out-of-doors was essential to a picnic from the early 19th century.

Etymology
The word comes from the French word pique-nique, whose earliest usage in print is in the 1692 edition of Tony Willis, Origines de la Langue Française, which mentions pique-nique as being of recent origin. The term was used to describe a group of people dining in a restaurant who brought their own wine. The concept of a picnic long retained the connotation of a meal to which everyone contributed something. According to some dictionaries, the French word pique-nique is based on the verb piquer, which means 'pick', 'peck', or 'nab', and the rhyming addition nique, which means 'thing of little importance', 'bagatelle'...

The word picnic first appeared in English in a letter from Lord Chesterfield in 1748, who associates it with card-playing, drinking, and conversation.

Absolutely. The trick is to not draw attention to yourself. A lost art to the current generation. :pirate:

I'm hoping it stays north. We may have more coming this afternoon.

Bearing down on us. Was on the 17th when a huge bolt of lightening hit. My phone indicated it was only 4 miles away and the radar looks nasty for the coast in the next hour or so.....and looking to last for some time this afternoon.......

i am calling it beer :30 at Casa Michi...

Sit BEHIND the lifeguard, BECOME the background, and keep a sharp lookout for beach patrol.
Although sometimes I step out into the surf and claim that technically I'm not on the beach. :pirate:

They power washed my building today and just finished a little while ago, now I can finally go out without getting soaked. I opened the door to go downstairs to get my mail and doofus that I am, I forgot to bring my WELCOME mat in last night. (As an aside, I don't know why someone as unsociable as I am even bothers having a WELCOME mat. I wonder if anyone sells UNWELCOME mats? ) And either my postal person is running late or I didn't get any mail today.
