Indeed, this month has craaaaaawled by. But sad to say I still don't see May being a total uplifter. However I'm not gonna p*** & moan about it. Just take it day by day & try to enjoy what I can.
Hopefully when May 31 comes around we can talk about the tremendous progress we've made regarding Covid-19.

I got my stimulus check (direct deposit to my checking account) on my birthday. The next day was when I found out I needed a new water heater. Easy come, easy go.

Our weather guesses were predicting 3" of rain for us beginning last night. When I woke up (6:20 which is my regular working day time) there isn't any evidence of even 1 drop. It is cloudy with a little bit of wind so I'll get my walk in soon just in case it's on the way.
We don't live far from you but we have had a ton of rain since very early in the morning.
I just got back from helping my gran daughter with her schoolwork.
The laundry's done, it stopped raining and it's semi-sunny out. If I wasn't already in couch potato mode today, I'd probably go take a walk around the neighborhood.
There's only one brewer in Myrtle Beach and their beer is very average. Two new brewers were supposed to open this spring, I guess whenever bars and restaurants are allowed to reopen their taprooms should be ready to go.

I blame your water heater going out on Trump as His intention was to give you the $$ to SPEND & stimulate the Economy. NOT to hoard it & bank it.... Same message to CNF.........says the guy whose $1,200 is sitting earning .0-whatever percent in my checking account

It started to rain around noon and it a steady down pour. That 3" prediction dropped to 1.25" but that's still quite a bit.
we banked our stim $$ with the bulk of our tax refund. Toyed with replacing our lower wooden deck with concrete but we decided to forgo that. IF we spend anything on the house it will probably be to upgrade our kitchen counters but since our house is only 9 yrs old we may not even bother and just the $$ for fun -- it we're ever allowed to have fun again .
BUT -- GOOD NEWS -- my original work laptop is now back on the kitchen counter and seems to be OK....FINS CROSSED !!!

Mine is sitting in my checking account too. A few days before I had to replace the water heater, I had gotten a letter from one of my credit cards. They're running a promotion - 0% interest on new purchases through December 1. It won't show up until May's statement but I'll have 7 months to pay for it. Plus, I'll get cash back in the card's rewards program. [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]

Check (or Cheque) accounts have pretty much vanished here. Why muck around with paper and pens when one can just tap away with a card, phone, ring or wristband?
Although, being used to the tap & go thing has brought some funny moments when travelling in the pacific, you see they still require signatures for credit cards. Over here to tap away, they hand you the receipt and of you go. While over there, we have quite often tapped, taken the receipt and gone to walk out, only to get called back because it wasn't a receipt but the one they wanted signed.

Lawn edge, trimmed and cut......thinking the lawn tractor however is on its last cuts as it is burning oil big time. 16 years old, and doesn't owe me a dime. Just hope it makes it through this season.........Is putting beer into the crank case a bad thing?

Evening all...spent this rainy day getting laundry caught up and then some coloring. Seems to be what I’ve been doing to keep the anxiety away these days.....but now it’s beer time

I was thinking of going to the Nashville show. The latest rescheduled date is 2 days after my high school reunion back on Long Island, one of those things probably isn't getting done.
