Is putting beer in anything a bad thing???

Evening all...spent this rainy day getting laundry caught up and then some coloring. Seems to be what I’ve been doing to keep the anxiety away these days.....but now it’s beer time
I’m using my down time on 500+ puzzles that we borrowed from a few neighbors.
I thought about puzzles, but then realized I had all this coloring stuff that I had gotten for Christmas a few years back...It’s pretty relaxing and makes me shut my mind off for a bit...

I’ve always loved puzzles though

Hi there! We drove 25 miles for pipe at Home Depot. There was waiting line 0f people outside. We went home, then later drove for ice cream.

Anne hasn't done a real puzzle since the cat arrived. A friend told her of online puzzles. She loves them!

I'd rather have ice cream than pipe too.

Got good news that we have a retired designer coming in tomorrow to help process a very large part of our Mother's Day flowers and she's coming in to help next week for the 3 busiest days of the holiday. Yay! 👍👍👍 We will have 5 drivers out and a person dedicated to answer phones.
We have a lot of containers already prepped and greened in, so we feel that we are as prepared as we can be!
We are expecting our stimulus to hit our account tomorrow and I will get my first check since March 16th. Woo hoo 🙌
Have a great evening all!

I don't have any ice cream in the freezer and I don't smoke a pipe so I guess I'll have a beer. 🍺

My late Mum was a florist for many, many years.

I truly have never gotten over 'helping out' over the Mother's Day period. It was nutsville.

Why do people insist on giving their mum's flowers covered in thorns?

Also, once we had drivers licences we suddenly became Mother's Day Delivery Drivers. If I never hear the (not very) hilarious comment "Oh for me? You shouldn't have" again it will be too soon :)

One year I delivered for mother's day. This was before smart phones & I used an ADC map (if any of you have ever heard of that  )
It was nice seeing the happiness on mother's faces but, 1 & done - never again!

I don’t care for flowers as a gift. I have some allergies. Plus I was brought up in such Strict households and then on my own at 17 So the financial side of it just never made sense to me.

My second and third graders made their moms little 3D bouquets of paper flowers. I bought Anne flowers for most occasions till one cat would climb anything to get to them. That cat saved me a fortune, but I like flowers overall.

I like flowers too but prefer them growing in my yard
Cheaper & they 'last' longer

Good point! There is a patch of irises in the front yard that require 0 maintenance and the dandelions look outstanding !

Good evening boys and girls. :)

Another stoopid day at work. We're now looking at admitting patients to have tested positive, but no fever for 2 weeks, along with some other 'tests'.

It was 87 degrees today, and mostly cloudy.

I love roses, thorns and all, cause I used help my Dad grow them in our backyard in IL and CO. I love them so much, I got a small purple rose tattoo in honor of him years ago.

Rabz? The reference to checking accounts? Doesn't necessarily mean using checks, as most all accounts are accessed with "debit" cards, and such. Occasionally they are still needed here in very rare circumstances.

E just got home 30 minutes ago. :( Long day at work for him. But he's got a beer in hand, and Cameron made a yummy Gumbo today from scratch, and now his tummy is happy too.

I have my vodka (no ice cream), and ready to watch "Top Chef". Tired, and SO ready for the weekend.

I can't wait to do puzzles again with my Mom.

It's going to be especially busy this year I think since we are still "social distancing".
When I'm answering the phone, and the driver is gone out on the last run of the day the last thing I want to hear is "but it's only 4:00 and you're open till 5:00...and it's our anniversary today or it's her birthday today...
Like you just realized that it was a special occasion??? SMH

I agree... perennials are the way to go...plant them once and done!!! Although the critters where we live always dig up my bulbs and feast on them🙄
