Crazy Navy Flyer wrote: May 6, 2020 2:07 pm Good afternoon BN. Another exciting day here, we're under voluntary evacuation due to wild fires. A prescribed burn on Monday went out of control, happened a few years ago also when they did a prescribed burn in low humidity and high wind conditions. Morons.
Damn Steve !!!...what the heck.....it is blowing over my house now....the sky is red....

Beer :30
We're less than a quarter mile north of I-10, it's south of us with north winds 15 to 20, I think we're OK.
Was just reading the update.....all the way to the bridge is under evacuation and I-10 from Garcon Point to 87 is closed....smoke is real thick on this side of the bay, and has a heavy red tint to it.
:o Stay safe, both of you.

There is A LOT of water between us...Plus, i just put a fresh keg on tap #2 today. I know it doesn't sound exciting, but in the heat, an ice cold Coors Light is always refreshing.

I'm not a fan of light beers but I like Coors Light better than regular Coors. Not that it's good, it's just less bad.

Not a Yuengling fan for some reason....Same with Sam Adams. But I do like a lot of the Sam Adams seasonal stuff.

Wind has drastically calmed down, and the smoke is nowhere as bad. What was a "Not a Cloud in the Sky" day is returning back to normal. Hope they get that thing under control, and residents are allowed to return home.

They are opening a shelter up in CNF's area. I called them and gave directions to his house advertising "Free Beer"

And now I'm out of beer. They tried to get to my rum and that's when the fight started.

I think we're out of danger from the fire but I won't sleep soundly tonight. 2000 acres burned today and it's still burning.

Ummm do we need to call Rabz over to help? Send up a Batman sign?

You have less than 2 weeks to get that thing under control. I'm arriving the 18th & I DO NOT plan on working while I'm there...but I can still tell someone where to go

Stay safe guys!

I'm watching the replay of the Dublin show on Margaritaville TV but I'm not drinking. I have an appointment to donate platelets at the Red Cross tomorrow morning and I don't want to be hungover.

Funny, but not funny.....years ago i experienced Hurricane Ivan, which CNF can agree was one of the most major underrated, non talked about Hurricanes in history. In any regard. My new home which i had just built was only 90 days old, and was living under Marshall Law afterwards when the American Red Cross came into my drive way asking if i was ok..........it was a Member and Friend of "BuffettNews", which sent them.....

One of those.....You Had To Be There.....Moments.........

Would make a good Title for a Live CD/// :pirate:

When I tell people that I want to move down there, the 1st thing they say is 'what about the hurricanes?!'
I'm a firm believer that when it's your day, it's your day. No matter where you are. So I will enjoy the good weather & the beautiful beaches til 'it's my day'
