i am the same way....haven't had hard liquor in many years.....haven't had a cold beer in less than an hour........LIPH wrote: ↑June 4, 2020 10:13 am Good morning.
I've had a couple of shots of ouzo but it's been years since the last one.
One of the worst hangovers I ever had was from rum. It was at a party after I graduated from high school, the drinking age in NY back then was 18. It was so bad I couldn't drink rum for a long time after that, just the smell of it would make me feel nauseous. I'm ok with rum now but I rarely drink hard liquor anymore, I'm a beer guy.

Twice in my life I have had hangovers that lasted 2 days. Both were in the 1970's. When I was a teenager I drank a
six pack of Michelob and 2 bottles of Boone's Farm Apple Wine. For many years afterward I would involuntarily convulse
every time I saw a bottle of that wine. The other time I was in my 20's at a bar in New Jersey that had a different shot
special every half hour. I was there for several hours and tried them all. Not a good mixture.

Who's got the rum?

Multiple neighbors security cameras captured Mama Bear coming in around 11:00 PM last night. The group moved out shortly afterwards to the neighboring lot behind where they were.....seemingly all is good and clearing of the lot has resumed...........the Wildlife vehicle has been there all day still. I think they are just watching, and / or, wasting our taxpayer $$$

Good evening. First round of Criminal Case status conferences under the new “Covid procedure” is over. Chambers 5 was lucky enough to have the “virgin” session so we had lots of questions and observers. But “we” pulled it off without a hitch and Ask any other chambers to try to beat us! I did such a good job getting our 191 cases down to 25 that The judge told me to leave at 12 today and tomorrow. Got to a friends pool by 12:30 and will aim for the same tomorrow. Even so I do NOT want to have that size list again. EVER.

I don't care for Cussin' Island but it's better than 15 Cuban Minutes. That song is why the skip button on CD players was invented.

Same here... mostly beer but have been enjoying Hard Cider more and more. Other than an occasional Gin & Tonic, or maybe a Bloody Mary, or sometimes a Margarita, I don't have much hard liquor. Oh, and Johnny Walker Black on the rocks is the best!MICHIPHIN wrote:i am the same way....haven't had hard liquor in many years.....haven't had a cold beer in less than an hour........LIPH wrote: I rarely drink hard liquor anymore, I'm a beer guy.

Good evening.
(I started typing this about 2 hours ago then got sidetracked with vacuuming a broken coffee mug/vacuuming the whole place, a load a laundry, putting my lunch together (cause Cameron made chicken fried rice) then cleaning up dishes).
I like a wide variety of adult beverages. Vodka, Rum, Tequila, wine, beer. Just never together, generally.
Hey Linda! WELL DONE!!!
Getting paperwork done for FMLA and short term disability for my surgery in 3 weeks. Hopefully everything will be approved and all.
Now I'm off to watch "Restaurant Impossible" and "Top Chef".
Hugs and such.
