Good morning/afternoon, depending on your time zone.

Considering how good I am at being a yo-yo, I'm surprised I wasn't better at yo-yoing.

Will Kimbrough has a song called Yo-Yo Ma.

Would the string be considered the thong of a yo-yo?

Afternoon, peeps. Loud thunderstorms blew through and now it's sunny and all kinds of humid. But chores are done, Mr. Lime is prepping dinner and it's wine thirty.

We're not seeing any craziness up this way, it's a very quiet area to begin with, and even more so with fewer people vacationing due to COVID. The harbor is only about 20% full, would normally by about 80% by this time of year. Sad to see so many empty moorings.

Hope y'all are staying safe.

I should have checked the weather before I went out for my walk. It's 88 degrees and the heat index is 95. :o According to the songs I listened to on my iPod that I just deleted from my "WALKING" playlist, I was out for 42 minutes. It's going to be water:30 before beer:30 this afternoon.

Hey hey.. been doing stuff around the house.. We've been dealing with wind since 9:00 am this morning. Gusts have been 65 mph and they have been steady. :-? Dark skies this morning, a little clearing, and now dark with severe thunderstorm warnings now. Just crazy, but the storms are normal.

Off to finish some laundry and start on dinner. Panko/Parmesan crusted pork chops, mac & cheese, and a salad.

On this day, June 6, 76 years ago, LAC D. D. Day was killed in action.

Lest We Forget.

I suggest that there was a fair amount of predeterminism in that particular occurrence.

I like that motto "through adversity to the stars". (Two years of Latin, many years ago) :pirate:

Just grilling burgers with all the fixins, and grilled potato wedges. And some nice salads.

That video makes me miss sketch comedy shows.

It was a good day.....i didn't break anything....then again, the day isn't over.......

on another note, my daughter left today to fly back to NYC. She came here on March 13th to escape the virus on a one way ticket and made the comment when she arrived, "I may be here for maybe 3 weeks".....turned into 12.

Hi there! I had an earworm that was first, just music, then part of a line,"my twenty dollar yo yo....

It was Jimmy's It's Midnight and I'm Not famous Yet."

I just listened to the video on the home page from Aspen......is it just me, or is that one of the best versions you have ever heard of "That's What Living Is To Me"?
