Start sampling some Los Straitjackets & their Surf Guitar catalog. Love me some Surf Guitar! Couple hours later it seemed it was "last call (shortly before 2 am) so I had to remove myself away from computer for much needed shuteye.

I am so glad it rained. I got up at 12:30 to close windows when I first heard it start but slept through the "storm alerts" that came through about 3 a.m. Glad it wasn't serious otherwise I may have ended up in Kansas..... :)

I have been getting sucked into Netflix shows lately. Do the same thing---look up at the clock thinking it is like an hour later and it is after midnight. Thank goodness it is summer break for me otherwise I would be more cranky than usual at work.

Afternoon, all! Might have to cut grass after all that rain. My garden sure likes it, though. garden fresh tomatoes are amazing!!!

Actually in a hour. I’m going to use a one time e mail where he can’t respond. Going to get it without splits. As is.

And it is raining. Not hard so maybe it will soak in.

Today is my Larry's birthday. We have been going to Disney for the last few years. He is disappointed but just doesn't feel safe enough.

Good afternoon all. I went to a supermarket in my mom's town to pick up a few items I needed and some things for Mom.
As I leave the checkout and head down the aisle towards the exit I encounter a woman around 50 with a shopping cart also.
"Can you get through here?", she says
The space was about 6 feet wide.
I answered, "Yes! Although I have gained considerable weight since I've retired from rugby I think I can SQUEEZE THROUGH HERE."
"Oh no no no I didn't mean it like that", she sputtered, looking very embarrassed.
I smiled and said, "I just like to mess with people".
And we both had a good laugh. :pirate:

LIPH wrote: July 29, 2020 11:47 am Reason #500 why I like to bag my own groceries when I go shopping: I just got home and looked at my receipt, I bought 9 items. They used 5 bags. :o If I had bagged it myself, it would have been 3 bags. Without the gallon of milk, it would have been 2.
I always have my bags along. Now, because of COVID the clerks aren't permitted to use my bags....fine with me, I can bag it the way I want

It had been a beautiful sunny day, although it was a little muggy when I went grocery shopping. In the last 1/2 hour or so the sky has gotten really dark and the thunder is rumbling. Maybe I should go downstairs before it starts raining and see if our postal person has delivered the mail yet. ⛈

Not very often that there are open windows at Ringville.....someone (namely me) has horrible tree pollen and rag weed allergies which after 12 years of monthly allergy shots aren't much better. So I stopped the shots awhile back when the allergist said I was as good as I was going to get.
But I do love feeling the air move through the house and how it makes everything smell good (both of which don't occur very often at the same time).
