I just looked out back, there was a group of about 25-30 Canada geese waddling across the street. Someone in the subdivision behind my condo development is going to have a lot of goose $h!t in their yard.
My old neighbor had ponds with one pair of Canadas that couldn't hatch a brood due to raccoons. He live trapped them out and had a hatch. Like a proud grandpa, he watched the goslings grow. I saw him often at the diner during breakfast and one summer day, I asked about the brood. He yelled"They're Sh!ttin" everywhere! "i can't even step on my deck!"

We have a lot more Canada geese than usual this year. One of my neighbors had an interesting theory. People haven't been driving as much the last few months so not as many geese are getting killed on the roads.

Too bad they don't taste good. The poachers here would wipe them out.

Hi kids. SO tired. Didn't fall asleep till late last night (just couldn't get sleepy). Today was crazy at work, as expected, but whew!
Actually got a call from Cameron - with updates and such. Good to talk to him, and he's doing as well, considering.
No geese here, but lots of poopy/nesting birds that have left a mess all over the complex.

They have built their nests that aren't supposed to be touched, but they're disgusting. And many buildings (including ours) are gross and we can't open some windows.

Thanks. I'm so proud of him, but I cry like he's 12.

Yea the geese are here too. We made it comfortable for them with our parks and man made ponds. They donβt bother to migrate.

Storm surge of 4.6 feet, the third highest on record. So far the wind hasn't been too bad and the local weather guy said landfall will probably be just across the state line in North Carolina. I'm riding out the storm with a frosty beverage.
