Good morning, we're having quite the thunderstorm right now. It looks like it's almost 9:00pm instead of 9:00am, the lights are on so I can see what I'm doing.
The Islanders had a chance for a 4 game sweep last night but it seemed like they stopped playing after the 1st period. A 2-0 lead turned into a 3-2 loss. But my other team, the Golden Knights, won and are the first team to move to the next round of the playoffs.
Good Morning BN'ers
7 Years ago today Mom was laid to rest. Love You Mom!!
Didn't get to watch any hockey last night but heard that after the 1st period the Caps dominated the Isles. Vegas is unbelievable. That organization really did an exceptional job in the expansion draft & has just made all the right moves proving their inaugural season was not a fluke.
Have a good Aug. 19th BNville......
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
First day of classes on campus. All the kiddos are logging in or going to class. Let's see if we can make it longer than some of the other universities with our face to face classes.
I'm back at work with my "newly deployed" laptop once again connected to my desktop. After a few long talks with IT from home yesterday and again this morning from my desk, they "think" all is well. I'll know the next time I take the laptop home.
It's rather dreary here -- overcast, not too hot but REALLY humid as we had some fog this morning.

Based on human behavior for the last thousands of years, good luck.
It is a pretty day in this part of Texas. As usual, nothing planned today except another Astro/Rockies game tonight....this one from CO. Hope they can all breathe.
It stopped raining, the sun's out and the pest control guy was just here for his monthly visit. The rest of my day is free, maybe I can find something to do.

Afternoon, peeps. Sunny, breezy 73* here in Vacationland.
Keet is here for the whole month until his new apartment is ready so he's working in my office space and I am out on the deck. Don't know why I waited until now to do this, I will probably continue even after he goes back to MA. Sure makes the conference calls a lot more tolerable to be outside with the sun and fresh air and watch the goings on around the harbor.
Happy hump day y'all!
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
One of our she-'keets was home for a couple of weeks and WFH and one day she told her Mom and me "I'm going to be on a very important phone call and I need the two of you to be very quiet'." I busted out laughing and thought of how many times I had said the same thing to her and her sister 20+ years ago.
I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....

Drive here and cut my wet grass.
This is a hard pass. I bought a condo instead of a house so I wouldn't have to mow lawns anymore.

Yay for the keet getting an apt!
You have such a nice deck & gorgeous view, really surprised it's taken you this long to WFH on the deck but glad you've figured it out
Didn't get much sleep last night. Worked ot til 0100 & we were pretty busy so I wasn't able to settle down & get in bed til 0400 but back up by 0800 due to thunder from storms that came through. Got some house cleaning done & made it to the store. Grilled steaks & asparagus with ceasar salad for dinner, yum!
