Afternoon BNers

I love the memes on fb saying this area will get BOGO on hurricanes! Not loving the idea.
Guess since we have been hunkered down for months, it won't be much different. Just hope we don't lose power.

I would just walk out and find another deli.
It was a customer. No matter were you go, there is always one.

Houston Mayor, etc just did a press conference about the storms. Ugh
We have plenty of food and supplies as long as we have power. This weekend we will move all the stuff out of the yard.

That's a bit of a bugger. Here's hoping the weather guesser have it all wrong and it is not a hurricane but a big ball of unicorns and rose petals that will gently settle upon the grass.

Thanks Rabz...I really hope you are right.
Having 2 storms in the Gulf at the same time could be horrendous. 😥

Or maybe a beer ...

Before anyone asks, I haven't had this one (yet) so I don't know what it tastes, or smells, like.

Hi there! i pulled up to the boat ramp dock as a woman finished yaking. Her husband helped load her kayak. She asked if they were in my way. I said that I could get by them to get my trailer in the river. I had a 40 yard walk to my car, drove around to tth ramp access to find an suv parked right where I had to turn around. There were no other boats around, so I assumed it was a tourist who didn't know boating protocol. I walked over to ask them to move, which they did. The suv had 2 patrol men writing a fine for the woman kayaker. Her boat wasn't registered. The husband remarked how he didn't read the sign close to his car that states all watercraft must be registered.

Oh, well.

All watercraft need to be registered. The registration number is featured on both bows with an up to date sticker. It is basically a money maker for the fish commission that issues them. The plastic in kayaks won't hold the stick on lettering, so no one has them on their kayaks, but they must have the registration on board. So many newcomers to water this year buy a cheap kayak and never learn the boating rules.

Need to register your kayak but not your semi-auto rifles and pistols.

It might be me, because I come from a place where firearms are a privilege not a right, but does anyone else see a problem with this picture?

:D :D :o

You have to pass a background check to purchase a firearm.

Our pistols and rifles DO have to be registered.
And if you are a convicted felon you can't be in possession of either. :pirate:

I. Check backgrounds at my job and you have to see how many with criminal histories try to get a firearms id card. Laughable.
