I swear, if that's my ONLY option of getting tested, it's NOT happening!!
I'll say I have it or don't have it, depening on the situation

but NO!
I had a swab up the nose flu test just prior to Covid becoming a scourge... it's not that bad really. Unless they are going to try to scrape your brain for the Covid test, you can do it! I have faith in you
That's the point... I will not let you scrape my brain - I don't have that much up there so I don't want some stranger taking what little I don't have
Gurrrl..... you are key Raz zee. Lololol

One day we'll meet in person & you'll see that...
But Bill can testify, lol!
Wait, what?

I've been thinking about yesterday's topic "So If You Find Yourself Here On SUNDAY@ the MSC".
If you did find yourself at the MSC it would beg a few questions:
Would it be embarrassing?
Would you say Hi to yourself?
Would you like yourself after meeting yourself?
Whose credit card would you use?
I'll answer those in order:
No. I've been in worse places.
Yes, but only after I sat down by myself to see what reaction I would get.
Of course. Because anyone that doesn't like me I don't give a crap about.
Neither. When at a bar I always use cash.

Long story...but wife and i do ALOT of cruises, and our favorite ship is Liberty of the Seas (RC) which was based in Galveston. We drove to Galveston and parked in the adjacent ground lot, and were returning into port the same day that Harvey hit. We could see land, but sat there for hours. Everything was silent, and eerie.....Captain came on and said, "Cannot get into the Port of Galveston, we are heading for Miami, be there in a few days!!!".....Caribbean music started, bars opened.....and they sold me a drink package for $20 a day.
But, my car was in that ground lot in Galveston...i flew back on a return trip from i think Seattle, into Houston and took an Uber to the port of Galveston....

I was one of a very few cars in the lot which actually survived.......As i approached my car, i noticed that many cars were "Fogged Up" as moisture was present. I got to my car which appeared clear, opened the door and got on my hands and knees and smelled the carpeting (as the car was sitting in 90 degree + heat for weeks). Did the same for the trunk....all was good.
Rather than returning to the airport to fly home, i had to drive home...

They lost at full price......
But in all fairness....we have been loyal Royal Caribbean fans....after the experience of being diverted for days (along with the somberness of being around others learning that they have lost their homes, etc....) ... the way the cruise line handled the experience makes our loyalty even stronger....they opened the phone lines for no charge. Internet was made available for free but on a time basis so that everybody had access. Drink packages (as shared) were made so that you couldn't resists. The upscale restaurants were priced at maybe 25% of what was normally being charged.

What really sold me, was i attended a Q&A session with the Captain and his staff..
People were yelling at him for even bringing the ship back to Galveston as other ships remained in ports in nice places to wait the storm out. We sat in the rain and the wind (which was actually a tad exciting). Again, people were yelling him for doing such.
When he finally was able to speak, he very calming said, "Hey Look, i know there was less than a 1% chance of getting back into Galveston. However, over 50% of our passengers are from the Galveston and Texas area and would like to get home to see what is happening in the area. We were never in danger, but i took the 1% chance for those passengers."

I like that he took that approach. Ya can't please everyone.
I've only been on 1 cruise (Norwegian) & I loved it. We got the drink package. All the alcohol, top shelf or otherwise, you could drink for 1 price & no daily limit. Let's just say they lost $ on us

We have done a few of the Carnival's, mostly from Mobile.....Ship is very old, and sponsored by Flex Seal....

..
They limit the drink package to 15 per day.....amazing that it doesn't last. They do however (for those with a gambling history) allow for free drinks in the casino, which don't count against your limit. But still, i shouldn't have to think so deep while on vacation as to where i am getting my next beer.

Exactly! My coworker/friend that went with me had been on the 15 limit carnival & said she knew that would never work for us
