Hurricane Laura @ the MSC Wed
Morning BNers
Where oh where will Laura go?? Not many hours ago she was coming closer to Houston. But she wobbled more toward Texas/Louisiana line. Of course that was after the 10 pm news but as we know, she can wobble again. Looks closer to Lake Charles, LA for now.
Guess we will just have to get ready and wait to see where she lands.
Hoping everyone will be safe Wed about midnight. ❤❤❤

Good Morning Molly and everyone who stops by.
We were actually hoping for some T-storms to bring rain last night....not a drop.

Good morning Molly and Linda. We should see storms this afternoon and the next 5 days. Our well has gone dry before. We need some water soon.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning. It's supposed to be a rain free day with temperatures in the low 90s but it's a little overcast. Maybe I'll have another cup of coffee before I decide what I'm going to do.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
Re: Hurricane Laura @ the MSC Wed
Oh my gosh. Feels like a late September morning. Nice and crisp.

Morning...
Looks like our friends on the Texas/Louisiana border are going to get hit pretty hard today. We may see some winds and rain but nothing like they will.
Our hotels are pretty full with evacuees. One had linemen trucks all in the parking lot ready to head southeast.

I'm not sure that is PC -- perhaps you might consider "vertically challenged staffed" [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]tailgaitingph wrote: ↑August 26, 2020 9:10 am Morning BN.

Back in the 1980s when I still worked in banking we had a softball in the office. One of the guys on the team was about 5' 3" or 5' 4" and he was very touchy about his lack of verticality. At our first practice session, someone asked him what position he played and he said 2nd base. I said I was surprised he didn't play shortstop. He was not amused.Saltx3 wrote: ↑August 26, 2020 11:22 amI'm not sure that is PC -- perhaps you might consider "vertically challenged staffed" [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]tailgaitingph wrote: ↑August 26, 2020 9:10 am Morning BN.

Re: Hurricane Laura @ the MSC Wed
My dads name was also Ken so as I was growing up my cousins who were anywhere from 1-4 years older than me called me "Little Kenny". I won't say I hated it immensely, however I really wasn't a fan of it. But once I hit about 13-14, at which time I became taller than all my cousins calling me "Little Kenny" it didn't bother me at all!LIPH wrote: ↑August 26, 2020 11:29 amBack in the 1980s when I still worked in banking we had a softball in the office. Re: Hurricane Laura @ the MSC Wed
Whoa! When did Laura go from cat 2 to a 4!!!! Those poor people in Lake Charles area. I don't wish a hurricane on anyone but so glad we are not dead center like forecast before.
We will get rain and wind but this area should be OK.

Trying to get all the odds and ends of laundry done in case we don't have power. Also charging up all our power chargers for our phones. Can't find my solar one. It will turn up...maybe.
What else should we be doing?
