They were low rent Howard Stern wannabes. I started listening to Q104 and then shortly after that I bought my first iPod. I had to listen to music on my train ride to and from work. 🎶
That was the rock station to listen to.

I wonder with all this COVID stuff if something like Austin City Limits or even Don Kirschner's Rock Concert (! LOL) could work again. Not very tech-y or digital but that's true for a substantial portion of the country.

Been watching 'Woodstock - The Director's Cut' and it's pretty amazing. Highly recommend.
That was on one of the cable channels a couple of weeks ago, I forget which one, and I watched it. One band I wish I had seen live was Sly & The Family Stone, they were great.
Also, I know you're not fond of covers but I have always thought JB and the band could kill it with Hot Fun in the Summertime, especially with the pans. It's sing-able, everyone knows the words. Very dance-able. I love what they did with All Night Long and think this works, too.
I had never thought of that, but I think I might like to hear Buffett do Hot Fun In The Summertime. The first time I heard him do All Night Long was in Omaha on my birthday weekend in 2012. I was still on FB back then and I posted something along the lines that he should leave it in the setlist and do it every night.

My mom used to do that when we were growing up to save on the electric bill. Now that I'm an adult with backup gas heat, I'm not sure how economical that was. We have the main heat with the wood burning fire place & propane as back up but also electric to run if it gets too cold.

P.S. were you ever able to get in to check on the boat?
Not yet, traffic is terrible in Pensacola with traffic lights out or flashing and the marina is on the Navy base, base is closed to non essential personnel, I'm very non essential.

Next time you hear Hot Fun in the Summertime, in the car or wherever, just imagine the pans and the crowd singalong. I really love it in my head.

Dang, I know that's gotta weigh on your mind!
We heard SO many sirens the whole time we were at the hotel & I just had to wonder how many idiots wrecked due to the lights being out.
I even said to my friend when we were out for supplies & stopped at a light that was out (4 way stop, right?) 'I feel like I'm gonna be rear ended'

Hi there! We had a beautiful day that include food out, boat motor oil change, ditch digging and lure painting. i rushed the time on drying paint and got florescent orange on my fingers. Those fish better appreciate my artistic efforts.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Made it out onto the beach today...and visited the beach bar...

In the condo's next to the bar (3 towers), 75% of them took water thru windows and door walls. A lot of trees and branches in the road. Everything west of the bar was closed to traffic for the clean up. I heard that the remainder of the island took water thru the first floor of all buildings, and the beach road between Navarre and Pensacola was again destroyed (third time since 2004).

I have driven a lot of beautiful roads in my years, including the PCH, the bridge road (and tunnels) from the southern tip of the Maryland shore to Virginia, A1A to the keys, multiple mountain passes, the gorge near St. George, UT, etc.......this little 8 miles of road is with the best of them.....but, will have to wait for another day to drive it.

Hello everyone! I missed checking in on Saturday and today as we had weekend guests. The last 3 days have bee absolutely gorgeous outside. We heard some great friends perform at local bars on their outside patios on Thursday and Friday nights. Those opportunities are quickly coming to an end as the nights get cooler sooner.

Kevin and I walked 3 miles of the Enola Low Grade Trail that starts about 15 mins from us and parallels the Susquehanna River. How awful it is that neither of us had ever been there but we will be returning.

Tomorrow starts another work week for me. Kevin doesn’t work until Tuesday. Hope you all have a great Monday.

Well, they have only been window visits since March. They call my cell phone, and we both put it on speaker and that's how we visit. She hasn't been out of the building since about a year ago. And I will say that no one, staff or residents, have been sick.

Well, our new fiber optic cable box has quit. Ok. Not all the boxes, just mine. No idea what to do. It is caught in a loop saying account is unavailable, etc.
Ugh
