Was just noticing on the news that the NASCAR race went into triple overtime. Can somebody explain this to me? Don't the cars go around and round so many times, and the first guy to do such wins ???

Little more to it. Nascar wants the race to finish under green flag. If there's a wreck near the end they'll clean up the mess under yellow caution flag or stop the race while they clear the track. Then attempt to run the final 2 laps under green flag. If there is another wreck they'll repeat the process until they can get 2 laps under green.

NASCAR is on at my folks house starting Thursday - Sunday. Mom is a huge fan. I took her to the spring Atlanta race back in 2006? Watch is by default because, it was on.
It's Monday. Students were actually camping out to pull football tickets this morning. Haven't seen that in forever. We play Florida Saturday at Kyle. Hopefully the team shows up.

Morning, or afternoon for some, BN.
My dad was into NASCAR when I was growing up so I attended a few races at Richmond. I thought that was a really big deal...Looking back, I guess it was. Watching on tv nowadays doesn't do much for me. Totally different being in the stands with the sound & smells of the track.
Anyway, finished my pot of coffee & laundry (which is pretty much daily now due to the pup & his accidents) so I guess I'll hit the grocery store for lunch supplies for the next 2 days as I'll be working

P.s. not that Dave is around here much anymore but, HAPPY BIRTHDAY gunthermoose!!

I don't think i have ever even watched a race......still don't understand how it goes to Overtime... 
Does a horse race ever go to Overtime?.....isn't it the same just that rather than riding in a car, you are riding on a horse?
