So do you get 'paid' for that?
We get 8hrs if the county is closed (holiday or weather). Columbus is 1 of the 2 days that they have us as 'floating holidays' which means we can use the time anytime during the year so it's not actually a county holiday that we get paid for. Can't remember what the other holiday is...

Afternoon BNers
Looks like I forgot to check in.
Since every one is giving weather reports. It is 80° here but very breezy. And it is overcast. We are suppose to be getting some outer storm bands but nothing yet.
Just in case yall didn't here...Astros won yesterday. Lol

They used to do the same for us but recently changed that. We get 'paid' the 8hr holiday if we're not working but get time & a half if we work it

chilly this morning but heading towards 75 mid afternoon
Just going through the paces today, but tomorrow should be action packed. Grandson's Cross Country meet tomorrow at 9 am, postponed/belated B-day dinner from last weekend for yours truly with son, daughter & their significant others tomorrow night. Chores galore during the middle of the day (may sneak a peek at a college football game for a few).
