I had all the classic monsters as plastic models including the creature. Recently, I caught a few minutes of that movie and thought about the creature. He moved so slow on land, all the victims had to do was walk away.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

The original version of The Thing is on tonight too but it doesn't start until 12:45am. I'll DVR it and watch it tomorrow.

I've never seen The Blob but I've probably seen The Thing more than any other movie. It's a horror movie classic.

    James Arness, Marshall Dillon from Gunsmoke. They needed a tall actor and he was 6'7".

    Speaking of scary - I have just read an article in a mainstream Australian newspaper that said that some epidemiologists and public health experts are warning that the US is heading into it's third-wave of Corona Virus infections.

    I so hope this is not true.

    Stay safe where ever you are.

    (I haven't linked the article as it descends into a political analysis of the effects of a third wave and frankly I got bored at that point and didn't finish reading it.)

    The Orange Idiot says that we've rounded the bend (even though today we set a single day record for new confirmed cases). He says that if we stop testing for it, COVID cases will go down.
    Hmmm…. If I get rid of my Blood Pressure Monitor, will my high blood pressure go down?
    And what if the drug stores stopped selling Home Pregnancy Tests…..
