Good Morning!
"Payroll" Monday for me as well Penny.
Great Weekend. First bit of great news was that my girlfriend Lynn's MRI results, while showing tumors it was determined they were benign.
Secondly my grandson had a real good performance last Friday at the State Cross Country meet. A fine season of improvement for him & his teammates. Looking forward to his Senior season next year.
Third, we had an absolute gorgeous weather weekend here in the Great Lake State with temps in the low to mid 70's (don't laugh you Floridians) & completely dry weather. Great for outdoor chores & allowing fresh air in the house.
We also took a little jaunt to the Kensington Park Metro Park. Huge Nature & Activity park. As we enjoy bird watching we had heard you could get wild birds to feed right out of the palm of your hand there & was not disappointed. Had Chickadees, Tufted Titmouse, Downy Woodpeckers & the big surprise a Red Bellied Woodpecker. Just so cool as they perched on your hand & fed.....then would wander off just to return again & again & again & again.
With Monday upon us back to our regularly scheduled programming. Enjoy your 9th day of November gang!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
New place for lunch today, Pulaski Deli & European Market. It's a small Polish deli with a few tables inside and 2 tables outside. One of my neighbors told me about it, in the 8 years I've lived here I never heard of the place before. Kielbasa sandwich with mustard and sauerkraut on a toasted hero roll. For the non-New Yorkers here, a hero sandwich is what the rest of you call a sub. Decent Polish beer to wash it down. They have several Polish beers, I might have to buy a couple to bring home with me.

To order a beer there just say, "Prosze piwo". Pronounced "PROE-shuh PEE-vuh". It means "beer please", although the word for beer
is the second word.
I checked out the beer section before I left. I bought another Polish beer, one from the Ukraine and one from Russia. I paid with a credit card and they have one of those computerized systems that sends you an email receipt. When I got home I had another email with a code good for a $5 discount the next time I go there. That's a free beer, the one I had today was only $4.
