Cartoon TUESDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. I drew Quick Draw Mc Graw in first grade and classmates were impressed. I still like cartoons. Did you have a favorite?
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Re: Cartoon TUESDAY@ the MSC
I can not pick one. Too many when I was a kid. Magilla Gorilla show, the Warner Bros cartoons, Scooby doo Flintstones, jetsons

Good morning!
No cartoons these days, but of my childhood. Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, Johnny Quest, Mr. Magoo, Archies, Jetsons, Speed Racer, Peanuts.
And now I'm off to the cartoon work place.
TTFN!!

Re: Cartoon TUESDAY@ the MSC
I copied from the funnies and learned a lot from different cartoonists. While still young, I realized Hanna Barberra figures had very short legs and no shoulders. Fred Flinstone's mouth was always in profile, even when he faced forward and the background repeated a lot during chase scenes. I found out why in a college animation course.
More cartoons I liked were
Deputy Dawg
Tom Terrific
Pre WW11 Popeye
Beany and Cecil ( loved that one)

Re: Cartoon TUESDAY@ the MSC
I was not allowed to watch cartoons (or much of any tv) growing up but sometimes after school I would go to my best friends house and she and I would watch Speed Racer -- now I'm sinning "go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer, go Speed Racerrrrr GO "

Good morning.
I liked The Flintstones, The Jetsons and the old Looney Tunes cartoons. My current favorite is Archer but the last 3 or 4 seasons weren't as good as the earlier shows.

Morning BNers
Cartoons?
Yup. Watched them all. I know this will be a surprise but Mickey Mouse was a favorite.
°O°
But I watched whatever was on.

But I DO remember hearing of Fritz the Cat. We had a drive-in theatre nearby affectionately known as the "Durand Dirties" (The Scene) Drive-in of which those type of movies were shown!

Road runner was one of my favorites, if it was still on I'd probably watch it. Also Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Re: Cartoon TUESDAY@ the MSC
I was involved in follies with a murder mystery using weird weapons including anvils. Days before the the show, while painting a 3x5 foot cardboard anvil cut out that would fall and kill, the light bulb turned on. In letters a foot high, I painted ACME.Crazy Navy Flyer wrote: ↑January 19, 2021 1:51 pm Road runner was one of my favorites, if it was still on I'd probably watch it. Also Rocky and Bullwinkle.
