We've got a pork loin that's going in the smoker shortly. There'll be some chicken thighs as well.

I figure that some corn and some watermelon might end up in there too. You'll have to trust me on the watermelon, it works.

Good morning! Happy Heart Day!! It's -6. High today -2. Yes, that's a negative.

Had a heat scare yesterday - furnace was running and running and wouldn't get above 68. Called maintenance. He was here withing 5 minutes. (We like him, he likes us - bonus). Turned out it just needed a new filter, and poof! We were back in business. AND he adjusted the flame (we didn't know why it was so low) and again, poof! More heat.

So, off to work on laundry, make breakfast and stuff. We're STILL going out to dinner, too!

Ryan just got back from the store. It is starting to rain so I helped unload the car.....It is 33° and feels like 25°.
Not near as bad as other places but if it keep raining there will be ice. They are already closing some roads and bridges and brine is being sprayed.

Good afternoon fellow east coasters, good morning people to the left of the eastern time zone and good tomorrow in Australia. It's been raining pretty much nonstop since late Friday morning. I think there's a hockey game on TV this afternoon so I'll be relaxing on the couch.

Slept in this morning, just got home from an early lunch at our favorite mexican restaurant with the 2 daughters who are local. Now I'm going to start laundry and then we're going to give the big stinky dog a bath. Charley girl doesn't seem to need bathed nearly as much as Beacon. I swear sometimes he pees on his own front legs.

Working today. Going to watch the same people driving in circles at Daytona.
