Getting another storm Wed night into Thur morning & of course I work Thur & Fri . I need some sun, sand & warmth asap! At least today is a holiday which means premium pay & no others in the building.

-9 this morning. At least no more snow fell overnight. Fingers crossed that my car starts this morning. It should.

Single digit temps this morning. I hit the remote start to the car from the house but when I went outside nothing doing. Not sure if it's just the battery or something electrical. Keyless push button start. Normally you depress the brake & push the button. Got into car & message said no key found even though in my pocket. Too damn chilled to mess with it this morn so snatched the girlfriends car & off to work.
I believe I inadvertently depressed the 4 way emergency flashers yesterday but noticed it less than an hour. Can't image that drained the battery

Good morning all. Winter Storm Warning in effect here. Getting a quick couple of inches and white-out conditions between 8-10 this morning, a break for 2-3 hours, then the heavy stuff starts this afternoon. Saying less snow(2-4") but more ice now(1/4"-1/2") which doesn't sound very pleasant.

Everyone remember that we live on the Gulf coast of TEXAS!!! This isn't the east coast or Canada but semi-tropical Texas.
For now we have power but there are rolling black outs.

Crazy weather everywhere.

Keet #2 lives in Austin and they had 4 inches of snow and lost power last night. They have since declared a state of emergency since they are not prepared to deal with it.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting at my desk watching the Palm trees swaying as I enjoy a perfect 78 degree partly cloudy sky here by the Manatee River.

Stay warm and safe everyone!

It is crazy in Texas! Still snowing in the Houston area. No one is prepared for this. But of course, stupid people are out on the streets.

Our storm Thur is supposed to be mostly snow with some sleet (starting Wed night). We're hoping they close the county so we get extra $ !

Crazy winter. Ice storm warning to the west of me, my area under an advisory for today. Wed and Thursday I am training someone. This should be fun. Not.

Good afternoon. The rain finally stopped but we're supposed to get more later today and tomorrow.

Just finished my taxes. South Carolina has a motor vehicle fuel tax credit, you get $0.07/gallon. It's been in effect for about 3 or 4 years but I never saved my gas receipts before. Last year I saved them. I used 218.825 gallons of gas in my car so I'm getting a $15 refund. It isn't much but it's almost one gas station stop, the last time I got gas it was about $18 to fill the tank. I'm saving my receipts again this year, I am nothing if not thrifty.
