So we had quite the adventure this evening. I got home before Bryan and the routine is to let the dogs out, then give them their dinner. We have baby and dog gates in strategic places in order to keep the dogs in the entryway. One gate is at the top of the first flight of stairs to keep them downstairs. And, unfortunately Beacon needs to be in a crate because he will pee while we are gone but he's left out. So, I came home and there was a chewed up plastic grocery bag on the floor and the upstairs gate was knocked down. When Bryan got home I told him that Charley had been a bad girl and he said Oh $hit. There was mouse poison in that bag. Of course she ate it! So after figuring out the exact type of poison it was, we made a frantic call to the vet and Bryan sped off with her. Luckily this type of poison isn't as bad as it could be. They got her to throw up, gave her morphine and we'll have to give her vitamin K for 30 days. This poison depletes the vit K which could cause her to bleed internally and eventually die. We were worried not knowing how long it was since she ate it, but apparently it was fairly recent and it looks like she's going to be loopy tonight but fine. 300.00 later....my bank account is not so fine....big goober! 🥺

Worked night shift last night, caught a few hours of sleep this am & have been going ever since. Had to go to the grocery store as I usually do on my day off but they're calling for snow & ice tomorrow so it was crazy there. Made a quick stop by the liquor store for mini bottles for the plane trip.
Back home to do laundry & clean the house. Got in 2 loads of firewood. Also started packing for my Siesta Key trip 8). I'm such an overpacker & always think of Molly now when I pack .
Made dinner & now I'm enjoying an adult beverage while watching some tv before what I expect to be an early night.

Happy hump day evening pholks!
Think of me and have a tropical beverage for me while you are relaxing on the beach 🏖️ So jealous! 😘
Not a problem & will do! 😘

Thanks everyone! She's gonna be fine with the vitamin K treatment. Tonight she's just really dopey from the morphine. 🐾🐾🐾
