Good Morning!!

Thermometer supposedly heading for the 1st of back to back days of 80 degree temps.
Unfortunately the only hiking I'll be doing is between my desk & the computer printer.

Enjoy your 6th day of April gang!

Good morning Bill, Deb, and BN! :)

Temps were in the low 80's yesterday. Today in the 50's. But a chance for rain, so I'll take it. Don't have to shovel rain. ;)

Off to that work place now - have a good Tuesday!!

Good morning. It's supposed to be 80 degrees today but I have stuff to do so I won't be able to enjoy it.

Afternoon BNers

Suppose to be over 80Β° all this week. Guess I didn't appreciate the cooler temps last week.

Need to get refill drugs. Should I get them today?? I do have enough for a few more days.

Astros screwed around and lost the game last night. They led the whole game until the 8th inning. Oh well. Another game today. πŸ§‘βšΎοΈπŸ’™

I don't even have to hike that far -- my printer sits about 2 feet from my desk -- my chair rolls really great :)

But -- I did take a 4 block walk over lunch. Another day when I felt like just heading straight to my car instead of turning around and walking back towards the courthouse.

83 out today here. Perfect weather. Did some onboarding stuff this morning for one of my new part-time jobs. After 16 years in a "structured" corporate environment, it's so refreshing to be able to set my own hours and schedule. Made it to the gym this afternoon and getting the hair trimmed tonight.

Morning All,

Coincidentally I bought new hiking boots over the weekend at the Easter Sales.

Now if my ankle would heal and the rain would stop, I might use them :)

When I had a job, I had 2 routes if I wanted to take a walk at lunchtime. I could go 1 block to 5th Avenue, then walk uptown to Central Park. Or for comic relief I could go over to 7th Avenue, then walk a few blocks downtown to Times Square. The people watching was great.

Good Grief.

It's 6:45 AM.

I am at my desk trying to get a bunch of work done. There is a cacophony going on outside. It is impossible to concentrate.

There are two families of (wild) lorikeets sitting (and pooping) on the patio furniture screeching to be fed.

There is a flock of 20 to 30 Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos circling above all calling and screeching.

There are two Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos battling with a mob of marauding Noisy Miner Birds.

There is a female Bower Bird squawking and stealing cherry tomatoes.

There are a couple of Wattlebirds hissing and cussing (as they do) while cleaning out the nectar from the grevilleas.

All this is happening at the same time and in the rain.

Oh and now a Butcher Bird has just landed outside my window and is chortling away.

It sounds colorful!

Hi there! Unlike Rabz, I had only one noisy bird while fishing. It was a crow working through it's vocabulary on a secluded river pool.
I ran a set of rapids that left me SCARED. The river drops 6 feet in a 50 yard stretch with boulders throwing 3 foot high hay stack waves. A friend takes them on often.
Ill take a hard pass.

As long as it was only scared, not scarred :)

The Astros took their orange shirts on the road!! I was getting tired of the gray uniforms.
Hope this game with the Angels goes better than last night.

Good evening! :)

Okay - we win - weather wise. LOL!!!

What did I say yesterday? Low 80's? When I left work it was near 60, it's now 38. And it'll be in the 60's tomorrow. But the rain turned to snow FAST, and we had this much snow in about an hour, then it stopped.
