May 2nd - temps got up into the high 70's yesterday, then some thunderboomers rolled through my part of Wisconsin last night/early this AM, but all seems quiet for now.
Oh ... and as of 9:00 AM CT, the temp is down in the mid-50s, and my furnace just kicked in again.
Welcome to Wisconsin. If you don't like the weather, just wait - it will change!

Good morning. It's supposed to be 87 degrees today, 90 tomorrow and 85 Wednesday, but there's rain in the forecast all 3 days. No rain yet today but it's very overcast and dreary looking. I was going to take a ride to the recycling center to get rid of my empties, maybe I should go now while it's still dry outside.

Raining here too. Waiting for the tractor dealership to come and pick up the lawn tractor for repairs. Not much else on the agenda for today.

Sigh....off to the funeral home as we say goodbye to a sweet guy. Nine months ago, he was diagnosed with leukemia. He was loving husband whose widow is a brittle diabetic.
I even put on my funeral pants.

Seems like all I get dressed up for these days are weddings and funerals. Mostly funerals.

After a spring and summer here in Oz that were very very wet, with floods and cyclones and all of that we've been in an autumnal warm and dry spell here in Sydney and surrounds.
24 days without rain, the quagmire that was our back garden is gone and the lawns are recovering, but that looks like it's about to change in the next couple of hours. Black clouds and rumbling in the distance. The guess, err, forecast is for over an inch of rain.
In other news, the vendor of the house in Adelaide, South Australia has accepted our offer, we are waiting on pest and building inspections to be done and final finance approval then the legal stuff gets underway. If all goes well it should be ours on or around June 11th.
Which means we have both been working like navvies to make this house look like a display home that no-one lives in while we live in it. Our real estate agent here in Sydney who is also a next door neighbour suggested that our two cats should be boarded until the sale - he now knows that they are residents of the house and will get to live in their house...

I looked up Adeaide. That puts you further from the islands you visit, but you are still close to Tasmania, so you've got that going for you.

On the weather report on the 6:00 news, they said there would be strong thunderstorms west of I-95. I live east of I-95, more than 60 miles east. We just had a strong thunderstorm.

Good evening everyone! I spent most of my day working from home and playing nurse to the patient. Today was better than yesterday and he feels like he may have finally passed the worst of it.

YIKES!!!
And on that weather note - it's around 39 here. MOST of the day it rained and rained, which is good. But since we live at 6,368 above sea level? We got a touch of snow - REALLY wet and heavy when we left for work - then came home to see the cars that didn't move today, have more snow than we cleaned off the cars this morning.
Good luck on the house selling/buying Rabz.
On that note, I'm off to join E on the couch to watch TV and enjoy the last of the fireplace time for the year.

Thanks.
Coincidentally, it looks like tonight might be the first time we light the fireplace this year...
