Afternoon BNers

We have so many tornados dancing in this area. So far, nothing too close but local stations keep breaking in. Ugh.
Hoping everyone is safe.

Just realized 50 years ago today I reported to basic training at NAS Pensacola. Time flies when you're having fun.
Steve,

Everything down 98 from Navarre west is OUT. Same with everything on Hwy 87. From what I am gathering, the same is being seen in FWB.
Wife's car has about 1/4 and i am on 1/2. We are saving fuel for emergency beer runs and food. I do have a 5 gallon can filled which is last resort if the beer runs out.

Let me know what you see up your way. I was actually in Pace yesterday and was thinking of shooting thru Milton for a beer at the Blackwater Bistro.

You don't need the gown for that

I drove through Pace this morning, 2 stations were open with lines but I passed about 5 that were out. I filled up yesterday, I never let my tank get below half. I'd planned to fill up several gas cans this week for hurricane season but hadn't done it yet, guess I'll wait until this is over.

The Pelicans used to have a decent beer selection at the ballpark. Since their last home game in August, 2019 three new breweries have opened in town. I hope they have some of the locals represented this year. It might be the highlight of the game.

Keep me in the loop on your end of the county, and i will let you know what i see down here along the coast. My neighbor is heading into Fort Walton this afternoon, and will report back as to what he finds.

Hopefully this is short term. My neighbor just got the last from Shell, they put the yellow bag on the pump handle when he finished filling his tank.

I am sorry, have I stumbled onto a thread from the 1970's? Petrol queues? (Oops Gas queues?).

Riddle me this - the pipeline was hacked by cyber criminals. It's a pipe. Why does it need an internet connection?

And you know this why?
I experimented while walking in a mall. Don't like using public restrooms.

I agree with Rabz on this one....do I need to sit in line for gas??? Odd or even days???
Been there done that and it is no fun. Also sat in line during hurricanes.

In preparation for an impending disaster I can understand queuing - it's hard to avoid (plus having homes full of gas cans is a nightmare for those who hold a hose).

But exposing critical infrastructure to the internet? Who was the mental pygmy that came up with that one?

They just announced tonight is the Pelicans first home game in 628 days. I was at that one too, it was the last home game of the 2019 season.

HEY CNF, the stations on this side of county seem to be getting fuel today, just long lines. My wife was able to fill her car at the neighborhood walmart on 98 in Navarre. She said she waited for less than 10 minutes. Then again, knowing her, not sure how many cars she ran off the road and cut in front of to get to the pump first. :o :o :o :o :o

Electric grid on the internet too. Including nuclear power plants. But typical human behavior wait till something happens then run down the street yelling in fear.

The wind picked up about 20mph and it poured about 5 min. Very weird. Don't know if there is more still coming.

I'm hunkered down watching the Astros play the Angels (again) and waiting to see what the weather will do next.
