...
The photographer is due today and the first 'open house' is this coming Saturday.
...
I'm in the same boat as you are! Need to collect boxes so I can start packing. We are scheduled to close on the new house by the 28th. And the youngest daughter (who bought our house) is getting ready to rip out the ancient carpet upstairs....
Well the photographer came yesterday and entirely disrupted the place - she even wanted to pull out the rotary clothes line. I did pull her up somewhat abruptly right there.
Anyhow we're waiting on confirmation of the open house this weekend.
Man I am over this...
Oh and I got new specs yesterday - that's not helping as I get used to them.

I just received a letter in the mail from our President talking about the $1,400 relief check which he recently sent to me. I need to reply that I never received it. He didn't leave his cell phone # however.
Rbaz, Tammy - Home Depot sells those cardboard moving boxes with the hangar bar. So easy to just lift and load clothes from the closet to the box and back. The extra bucks are worth it and they can be re-used, we gave ours to our niece heading off to college.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

As this is an interstate move we have decided, well Mrs Rabz has decided, to pay the removalist company to do the packing as they will then insure it. They provide the packing materials.
Also we don't need to do it then

We have had moving companies when the employer paid for it, and we have also moved ourselves for a couple moves.
Good on Toni that this last (?) move will be handled by the pros.

This will be our (hopefully) second last move. There is method to our madness.
We currently live in one of the two most expensive cities in Australia (Sydney). Where we are moving has much cheaper real estate prices. So we have bought a place which ultimately we will rent out but we will move into for the short term.
Once we are settled we will then look for our next "forever" home. The plan being that it will be a little out of town on an acre or two - but those properties are few and are hard find.
The upshot is that we hope to be close to mortgage free once it all settles down.

Hi there! I just talked to my 78 year old cousin. She tried copying an article to send me about Jimmy, young, down and out in Atlanta, he stayed at a waitress's place, sleeping on her couch. She was the waitress.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Ha! Yep, not that it will ever matter.

The Carolina Hurricanes are playing tonight. They're allowing 12,000 people in the arena and during the pregame show they said tailgating was allowed in the parking lot. The female half of the pregame show hosting team said the lot opened 5 hours before game time, then she said "can you imagine being out there for 5 hours?" Yes, I can.

Just FYI - they are not always right. Several years ago I was told to take down all the personal stuff - but I didn't. The house had an offer in 2 days, and sold within a week.

We've received ours... months ago. But do NOT understand why they had to spend the $$ to send the letter.
