Finally got a good night's sleep last night. I'm off today but there will be demolition work going on upstairs.... yesterday the tile came out of the bathroom and some of the carpet has been removed....

Good morning. The Pelicans are on a 2 week road trip. I went to their website to check the scores from Tuesday and yesterday, they lost Tuesday and won yesterday. Two game totals - 7 hits and 32 strikeouts.

With stats like that sounds like they're primed to become Major Leaguers. 6 No-No's this season & we've got a week & a half left in May. Sheesh........

I went grocery shopping and there was a different guy at the Beer Den, he's been there the last 3 times I was in the store. I've seen him a few times before over the last year or so and he's kind of a richard if he doesn't know you. If he's going to be there permanently, I won't be doing much drinking at the Den.

There have actually been 7 no-hitters. Madison Bumgarner pitched one in a 7 inning game in a doubleheader. The game counted in the standings, all the statistics for the individual players counted, but since it wasn't a 9 inning game MadBum didn't get credit for a no-hitter. If he has a clause in his contract giving him a bonus for pitching a no-hitter, I hope the team gives him the money.

Bummer for Bumgarner....but I'm a bit of a stickler on this one. No no-hitters from the Astros. But they did win last night. Another game with Oakland at 2:37 today. I don't enjoy west coast games...the times are so screwy!

The school district in which our kids grew up and our oldest grandson (age 10) is currently enrolled just announced they are the first in the county to offer a mask free attendance for those who show proof of vaccination to the school nurse. Not sure how they are going to get away with that since no one is allowed to ask any mask free person if they are fully vaccinated
