Good morning. Last night I was relaxing on the couch with a beer, watching the hockey game and periodically checking the Pelicans game on my phone. They were winning 9-0 in the 5th inning. They lost 14-13 in 13 innings. They had a balk, 2 errors, 2 wild pitches, 3 passed balls and they struck out 18 times. It's going to be a long season. At least they don't have the worst record in the league, yet. They're 7-9, the Fredericksburg Nationals are 1 -15. :o

Morning, BN. It's a cloudy day here. It's supposed to go up to 90. Will be heading out for some outdoor live music and bbq.

The Brooklyn Cyclones will not be playing here on July 4th. Darn. I usually make it a beach/coaster/game/fireworks day. Need to find another game to attend.

Have a good one.

Good morning/Afternoon everyone!! :D

We slept in a little - have laundry going, made breakfast, cleaned up dishes, and we'll be off to the store soon. Out to dinner with friends tonight. :)

Morning BNers

What an ugly day...looks like ir could pour any minute!! But so far, so good...for now.

They are starting qualifying in Baytown. They changed times this morning from 10 to 11:30 for pro categories. Not sure if they will get 2 rounds in today.

Larry and our friends are planning a cookout at the track this evening. I hope the weather cooperates.

I'm going to grab my iPod and go for a stroll around the neighborhood. Then I'll come home and have a frosty beverage or 2 while I watch some playoff hockey. 🎢 🚢🍺 πŸ’

Bryan brushed the big dogs, I've been doing laundry and cleaned up the kitchen. Getting ready to make pizza dough for homemade pizza and garlic gorgonzola salad for dinner tonight. Tomorrow Bryan and the 2 local daughters are going to start hauling crap out of the basement. I'll be on kitchen duty again and there is old school Enchilada Casserole on the menu for dinner tomorrow. I've been asked to work on Monday, so there will be Cream Cheese Chicken Crack Chili in the crockpot for dinner Monday.

Crap.
Raining again at the track. Again. They finally called it for the day. Not every team got 2 qualifying runs but that's drag racing.

Hope the cookout isn't rained out. They do have a smallish motor home that they can get in. Not sure who was invited this time.

Hi there! I had to smile when I spotted a tire swing on a wooded island in the Allegheny river. What a treat for some kid(or kid at heart) to stop on the island while kayaking.

We still have 80 degrees but more clouds than sun. It was still a good afternoon to hang at the pool.

We’re having our homemade sauerkraut with a pork roast and mashed potatoes. It’s our traditional New Year’s Day meal but we needed to use the remaking sauerkraut since Kevin makes his way, (gingerly due to the hip replacement) back onto the diet wagon on Monday. He had lost 60 lbs but got the Covid 19 which is similar to the freshman 15 :o

When I was a kid my grandparents had a tire swing in a huge tree, had a good time with it, great memories.

And the tire swing at Cane Garden Bay, fell off that one probably due to too much Cruzan rum.

Had the first open house yesterday. The property hasn't been advertised openly - just to the agents mail list. Had about 10 or 12 groups through. Five asked for a copy of the contract (they have to do that before they can make an offer under our arcane laws). So we'll see whether anything comes of it.
